Hi all,

My Fiat (2007) has decided to request a code for it's radio, accidentally I've put in the wrong code - in fact I just tried to guess it I am in the process of trying to remove the radio to get the serial number to get the code. Any ideas how it is possible to remove the radio?

On the speedo front has anyone else had a problem, with a speedometer that thinks 115km/hr is actuall where 0km/hr should be? I had it looked at a fixed temporarily last year and now it has done it again, also apparently needing a whole new speedometer! Warranty has now run out and I am faced with a £700 estimate

In post #20 of that thread, csabaszalma details how to remove the headunit. That's about as much help i can be!

IIRC (and I probably don't ) isn't the radio code held by the ISR?

Well I have just learnt that yes the code shoudl be held by the cars computer, but because we needed to get a new key programmed, it may have corrupted it.

I have managed to get the four blank buttons off and now trying to remove the radio without getting that extra wire tool thing. any ideas?

ISR= International Security Register. They (i think) will have the four number key. Yes, the car will "have" the key, but good luck getting it out of it.

Some people have managed to release the radio securing clips using four pieces of wire cut from a metal coat hanger.

The "extra wire tool thing" looks like these.

where do i get those clips from!? ha i need them to put my aux lead into my car!

I had the enter code for the radio before too. Couldn't find the code in the manual, and had to pay the local dealer a sum of money to get them to remove the unit and then call up the Fiat HQ for the code...
