No, MintyMoo. Complaining about the dealer not mentioning it when I mentioned it.

Okee dokee. Funny thing is the dealers just sent me a customer satisfaction form to fill in. Apart from the no insurance bit everything else was great. having said that he didn't know about the underseat storage and the hidden compartment under the dash. The ferkin manual did. :D Still thinking as to the cost if I had been involved in a bump I would just like to add that most of the info is in the manual. No probs with ipod, memory sticks etc etc.

cheerio folks

Fill it in honestly :) Dealers don't get better without finding out about their weaknesses (y) My dealer was pretty much on the mark thankfully.

Don't want to **** on your parage but a week between arriving in the country and you getting the key in your hand is very unlikely.

Unlikely it may be but dealer called yesterday and said I could pick it up then (4 days after it arrived in the country...) but I couldn't get there so am getting it in about an hour!! Woo hoo!

mine is in this country unpreped whatever that means.
maybee next weekend or not . That is the question....:p

Normally 2 weeks minimum from arrival at port.

Fiat check it over to make sure it's not damaged, arrange transport, deliver it to your dealer, he sticks on any other bits you've asked for, cleans it and then it's yours.

We ordered a 1.2 stop start with sun-roof on 31st July - still no sign of it and are becoming extremely pi$$ed off.

Our local dealer, Arnold Clark Oldbury, when tatking the order gave us a delivery date of 19th September 2009 - in writing. Since then they do not return calls, give conflicting information, constantly blame Fiat, the 3-week annual Italian shut down (car is made in Poland so not sure why this has any bearing), system being down, etc, etc, etc.

The order small print stated that if car was not delivered within 21 days of agreed date we could give them 7 days notice in writing to deliver said car or get a full refund. When challenged about this Arnold Clark then claim that this is for second hand cars only and does not apply to new - does anyone else have any experience of this?

Six weeks ago we were told by Arnold Clark that the car was in transit and would be in the UK in 4 weeks, plus a further week to get to them here in the Midlands. Last week we were told that it hasn't arrived in UK yet but can't say when it will. In these days when you can track on the internet 24/7 a TNT parcel to within 100 yards on its way to any one of millions of addresses I find it incredible that Fiat can't tell where a £10,000+ motor car is on one of a handful of their own regular routes.

Our first dealings with both Fiat and Arnold Clark and almost certainly our last.:bang:

The Fiat factory in Poland did indeed shut down in August for a few weeks as it always does.

As for the tracking of the car whilst in transit Fiat do track things roughly by status codes and don't know exactly where you car is whilst it's in transit from Poland to the UK. This is fairly standard.

Wonder if the 'Arnold Clark' group are on credit stop with Fiat !!

That would be a reason why your not getting your car..
i don't mean to be rude but it's extremely irresponsible to speculate to that degree...... lots of people are waiting for their cars, doesn't mean the dealers are on credit hold.

Sorry to take so long with photo, very happy with car so far, does what it says on the tin!
Cheers
