Don't worry about pestering your dealer, they should expect it! :)

I badgered my dealer to death till I got a whole load of things thrown in for free.
It worked for me and I cannot be happier. Mind you, when he asked what I thought of the 500 after the test drive I had to try really hard to look like i was not that bothered either way and I would only buy if the price was exceptional.

Your car spec sounds lovely, and I bet you cannot wait till it arrives.
 
Sounds like that if you now have one with the sat nav port since changing your seat spec, the car is one that was already partly done! Maybe this will speed things up? The waiting definitely makes picking it up a bit of an event!

Also my mrs is much better at badgering for extras than I am! Must be a woman thing. Shes much better in garages than I am too for servicing and suchlike. I got the chrome wing mirrors afterwards too, they are easy to fit and look great! Hope you enjoy it!

HAHAHAHA, it must be a skill i picked up from the ladies then. People always said I was in touch with my feminine side!! :D :D

Looking back, maybe I should taken a lady alongside with me, could have got a bigger discount on the 500? :idea:
 
I'm so much better at garages than hubbie as well. Mind you, as every single dealer I've used has been a man it's dead easy to flutter eyelids, wear a low cut top and all that lol to get something thrown in or a better deal. I've always got the top book price or more for part-ex and always get mats in the end.

Another select funk white owner coming then. Great :)

Hello Grimwau, thanks for saying 'hi'. I'll definitely put some pics of Pepe up soon - he's such a gorgeous bambino, 'tho looking a bit filthy at the moment after a snowy drive to work this morning. Thank goodness for ESP!

Princess Gracie, I bet you can't wait until 1st March - my dealer offered me the chance to pick up on a Sunday so this shouldn't be a problem, although they might need to have your insurance docs on the Friday to register it.
 
Not long to go now!!!!!! Oh the excitement is building now, chose my reg last week! I bought a new phone sony ericsson w580i I am not opening it until the big day (just in case it doesnt work with the car) so I can send it back until I get one that does!!!!
I'm soooooo excited now

Princess, I think that the SE phones are the most compatible with the BLUE & ME in the 500. AFAIK all features will work including reading texts and downloading of phonebook automatically. Good choice. lol.

Thanks, I get the new phone tomorrow and I am not setting it up until i get the car in 20 days!!!!!!!!! Oh its very exciting. I dreamed about it last night! D'ya know I am 33 and I honestly feel about 19, when I was getting my little mini.... I have always had a brand new car but I have never felt like this before!!
Half of my friends have called me to death for getting this, I dont understand why its gorgeous!
they are jealous!
Counting down the days - I'll have done everyone's head in by 1st march !!!!!!

I bet you were just as excited as I am too! I really cant wait. I was going to get the bossa nova white, but I fell in love with the cha cha cha when i saw it, I know its 250.00 extra but its lovely. I am getting the ivory wheel too, it just looks like a summery car if you know what I mean!:D(y)

I can confirm that the SE walkman phone is 100% compatible with the 500 - it's the phone I've got!

I think it was something that I saw on here that help me choose! It arrived today I have had a look at it and it seems like a good phone, do you have to buy something for more memory?
I know this sounds like a daft question but how do you play music in the car, I am so not good with computers (although I use them all day) do I need to buy an ipod? or something!!!!!

Hi there, I'm not exactly a computer wiz either, but its pretty straightforward. You can just copy some mp3 files onto a memory stick, and then plug it into media player slot and your car will magically play the tunes :D Think there are problems with Ipods (because they're a different format - mp4) but any other media or mp3 player should do the trick. yes that does help, my hubby said that he will help me! I am so not into computers! He has just downloaded some stuff for me 'assures me it's simple' but I think I will leave that to him!
 
Its really easy, if you can drag and drop files you can put music on your memory stick. I got a 8gb one off the web for about 6 quid, I have shedloads of music on it and its still less than 1/4 full... the system in the car is great and I miss it in our other car... havent even played a CD in the 500 yet! I arrange the tracks in folders by artist then you can navigate thru them using the voice control and buttons on the wheel. The stardard stereo is pretty good too IMO.

NB : I created two folders on the USB stick, one called mix01 and one called mix02 and I put songs I like into there and it's then like an album rather than you having to pick a song every time one finishes (for when you don't want to just listen to the same artist for 10 songs!). H.

Well thats the way a womans mind works... being a bloke I like things well organised! :D Actually I have a few folders with mixes in too, I have an
80s folder and a musicals folder (for Mrs notts... ahem) but you can also use windows media player playlists I think from your PC. Havent done this tho! I think its a cool system, no matter how you organise your music!

That's when I hit the windows button and say "shuffle" lol
