Murf is finally in the sunny uplands of MOT exemption and I've just had to apply online for his fee-exempt road-tax. This process went without any problems but for anyone who might be a little concerned about declaring that their vehicle has not been modified when maybe there's a bit of a "grey" area about that, fear not. All you have to do is tick an innocent-looking box in answer to a very ambiguous statement. They don't ask you to say that your vehicle has not been substantially modified, but what you are asked to do is to agree with the statement that as a vehicle over 40 years old your car may be exempt from the MOT if it has not been substantially modified; anyone can tick "Yes" to agree with that.:D

I am surprised that you were happy to tick the box bearing in mind your sunroof and spotlights.:D

:D

I just ticked the box to say that I agreed that if it hadn't been substantially modified it might be exempt from the MOT.:D

I didn't get asked directly to say that it had been substantially modified...don't forget, it also has hazard-warning lights and a USB socket!:D
