I’m trying to identify if this is just a bolt hole for the tin work or something else. It’s a larger thread than the other holes holding the tin work on.

If you read the 'Haynes Manual - 126' Chapter 1 para 10 line 6 it shows the missing hollow bolt that vents any gasses in the event of the cylinder head gasket failing. The two hollow bolts (one each side) help locate the fan housing onto the engine too.

Disappointed by the poor quality of the hollow bolts that are available I made some stainless steel allen head ones and had some spare if anybody needs a pair 😀
