Hi, I am new to this forum so hope i make sense. I am trying to restore a fiat 500 Bambina, thats what it was called here in new zealand. I bought a new sunroof from FD Ricambi. I fitted it and it was way too tight and badly fitting. On closer comparison with the old roof the side arms/ bars are 5mm shorter on the new roof. As live so far away I cant eaisly return it and am worried that if i order another one it will be the same. Does anyone know if this is a problem with my car or the new roof supplied.

Thanks.

Maybe try to find a local car trim specialist with experience of car fabric sunroofs to take a look and advise?

Can the side arms/bars be transferred from the old roof to the new one or could they be cut/lengthened?
5mm doesn't sound like much.
It's a long time since I fitted a replacement (genuine Fiat) sunroof but I do
remember it being very tight/taut to fit, I was sure it was the wrong size but all was well in the end, warming
up the hood material helps a lot.

Al.
