Broke front spring on 66 plate Tipo wagon. There are no after market springs here in rural Wales. Anyone know who does them. I am told that Tipo generally uses existing Fiat components. Would anyone know if there are compatible coil springs? Bravo maybe??

You know this area Charlie.? The website has no Tipo springs. I have asked them to look at bravo2 compatibity.

Spent a lot of time in the area yes..
Live in South Wales now :)

Worth calling Shop4parts on monday and having a chat

Do you have a part number yet?

Ideally buy a pair.. and swap the other in the better weather.. the upper bearing might like some lubrication while it is apart.

My Grande's are all a bit needy like that

Finding the ePER style FIAT parts fische seems tricky with the tipo

Here is a spring that is supposedly correct..

I was hoping to see a reference to the FIAT original part number.. nothing obvious there

Beware of shipping times for parts that might be shipped from Europe ;)
Also lowering springs so the op would definitely need a pair if they where fitting them

Absolutely Charlie. As regulars will know I think highly of S4p and have bought quite a few bits of "stuff" from them. They seem to stock other stuff not listed on the website and may be able to source yet more if you ask them. Always worth a Phone call if you don't see it actually listed on the site. I've always found them very keen to help if they can and they will go that extra mile to assist if they think they can.

Good spot..

Why is that no in the title....??as Importantly why list modified.. but not standard - seems a bit strange.

The Eibach are not listed woth a 30/35mm lowering though

Presumably no aftermarket supplies for the standard spring's
Aftermarket parts for the tipo seem to be rather patchy for anything more then service parts

I'm having trouble getting rear shock absorbers nobody can supply any untill mid April including fiat who quoted me £148 a peace

Have you looked at H&R, as they generally good Fiat after market. Believe the Tipo Estate EAN number is 4048419284143 and H&R part number is
Article number: 28692VA1

I believe that is what I quoted..?

Poorly described.. they are 30mm lower than stock

Hence my search of ebay.it ;)

Sorry, Yes, my bad.

Though I would of thought with such a new Tipo, that the plastic part number tag would still be attached to one of the coils in the OP’s car.

I really am surprised that Members of the forum are so helpful . Thank you to those who have helped me so far. I have found a spring in an ebay salvage site who don't want to separate spring from strut. £70 delivered for the full assembly. What do you all think?

I might have missed the part number tag when I was looking. Now so old and arthritic it is all a struggle!
