I'm hoping someone can help or has some advice as we're at a loss!
We've had issues with our Tipo pretty much since we got it. The problems are:
- when it gets below freezing the doors don't unlock. Sometimes it's just the driver's door, but it could be any random selection of the doors. They can be opened from the inside, but not from the outside.
- when we start the car after it has rained, the two back windows open on their own.
- last summer, the driver's door window got stuck open. We took it to a garage and they sorted the problem, but it has come back
- currently, the passenger side door doesn't open ever from the outside. It opens from the inside, but never from the outside.
I took the car to an auto-electric specialist mechanic today and they tested every possible thing they could think of (I thought it might be water getting into the driver's side door, or getting into something else that controls the electrics) and they couldn't find a single thing wrong with it. They thought the problem with the passenger door might be mechanical rather than electrical, as they couldn't see anything wrong with the electrics, but I have my doubts about this, as, about a month ago, it worked pretty much every time, whereas the driver's side door was much more prone to not opening. Anyway, they were very apologetic and said the only thing they could recommend was speaking to a Fiat specialist, so I'm hoping I've come to the right place!
Anyway, has anyone had any similar problems with a Tipo or other Fiat model? Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!
