Re: 3 out of 5 on EuroNcap testing

There is also one other thing that is at least worrying. Watching first crash test in Euro NCAP Crash Test of Fiat Tipo, front driver seat seems to detach/broken after car hitting the wall ....any comments on that?

I went back and looked, I see what you mean but I don't think it detached from the floor. It looks like the seat back gave way at the adjustment hinges, seems to hold till a point then clearly breaks on one side then the added pressure of one side breaking shows a second and distinct snap and the other side gives way. The seat back then snaps forward pushing the driver into the airbag and possibly the steering wheel as the airbag is in the deflation stage.

Looked again on youtube slow-motion and looks you are correct. Seats stays about same height, meaning both seats are still attached to the floor. So I'm thinking one of them bended on the back side.

The Bravo was a 5* car and is bodily similar. The tests are different now though. I certianly look at these ratings as a key factor too.
