young drivers !!!!!

i paid 900 for this years insurance on a 1.2s in my 1st year of driving, and goes down to 630 in a months time

Im with them too!

I was getting quotes of about £1300 TPFT for a 19y/o new driver in a Cinq Sporting, but they quoted under a grand :D

now im 20 and have 1 years NCB im paying £400 (y)

It's good to hear that the insurance starts to go down.

I tried that confused.com site but there was only a few that gave me a quote!

Grr I hate em, they gave me the cheapest quote I could find but refuse to insure me as I'm an insulin dependant diabetic :( Its declared to the DVLA and I have to renew my liscence every 18 months but for some reason that makes me a liability in the eyes of quinn direct, bit prejudice if you ask me as the doctors tell me I control my diabetes better than 95% of they're other patients. FFS!

personnaly i would never touch quin direct again. i went with them for my first year. brilliant cheap quote but then when it came to providing the prove of no-claims for the next insurance company they would;nt send the information so i had the other insurance company chase them up !

this was after three letters and a couple of telephone calls..IN my eyes they are useless god help if i had had to claim. (n)

admittedly they did ram my insurance up £400 when i temp took the car off the road which wasnt very nice but its dropped over £600 this year so i'm okay now.

has anyone else has trouble getting proof of no claims?

ahh quin cheap ??

not for me

i got £1000 from direct line

and i dunno why but i managed to get a cheaper quote by not putting in the reg but filling in the details of the car manualy, getting a quote, saving it then before exepting, putting in the reg number

worked out £150 cheaper :D

but quin wanted £1600

il be giving quinn a call when mine is up for renewal very soon!!
at the moment paying £950 from direct line as a named driver so once i have got one years no claims, as they offer no claims to all named drivers i will be going on my own policy.

are direct line competitive tho even with no claims, i thought they where expensive

just looked into direct line can use my years no claims off my scooter but i only get it on the 1st of september so i'd have to wait till then before i can drive, considering my test is on the 12th of july and i'm looking to get a car around the 1st of august after my holiday so its a long wait, a group 3 car would be around 1500 but i can go on my dads insurance for 700 so i've got a lot of thinking to do

go onto your dads policy for a year with direct line, means you get another years no claims bonus then go onto your own policy as i am as the quotes should fall quite a bit i have been told with one years no claims!!

but that no claims discount will only be valid with direct line and they still wont be that cheap after two years, and no other company will accept it
