RX8 sounds like a bag of nails! 20V any day :)

Plus it is a rebuild after every 30k on both the rx-8 and rx-7. The rx-7 is a stunning car and fast but expensive, isnt the word, to run.

As for the rx-8 its actually quite slow for what it is. More 182's and type-r's will keep pace.

Pretty much hellcat, little torque compared to bhp... thats the only downside imo

the rx7 is fapping gorgeous, and i will own one at some point, even if i have to sell organs abd familly members, im not that attached to them anyways... lol

How are the bhp and torque delivered in a rotary engine? Is it all revs and no torque?

on the RX8 you get 238bhp @ 8500 rpm and 159lb/ft @ 5500 rpm, so it sounds very similar to what you'd expect from a 4 stroke, only you'd need a bigger 4 stroke engine to get the same output.

the only reason it would need a rebuilt that soon would be if its been mistreated, they do need alot of attention but the rotary engines will last far far longer than 30k if looked after properly.

normally 60-70k is rebuild time, I'd never get an RX 8 but I'd love an RX7, however I've had a few mates who have had RX7's and although they loved them they were ultimately sold due to the incredible running costs of them :(

rx8 is more practical, still gives similar thrill, but TBH not a patch style wise as the later rx7's, some of them with fancy bits of factory kit on just look the bomb shizzle. :slayer:

but if you want an rx7 go for it. it'll be an experiance thats for sure:cool:

Rachel just let me take her RX8 for a spin in asda carpark, only got to use 1st and 2nd so didnt really get any feel for the car.

deffinatly one of those 'i'll get used to it' cars, the only thing i could really critasise would be the heavy clutch which i was supprised at.

other than that, top car (y)

who wants to let me have a go in their RX7 then :D

EDIT: btw i did notice the lack of torque

If you noticed it.. I'd be like "who stole the torque?"

as my edit said i did notice the lack, i was in 1st rolling at 15 and turned and planted my foot, expected the back to flick out but it did nothing....not even a little squeel

deffo have to keep the revs right up in it

EDIT: think if i did a 3rd gear roll on from 30/40 the marea would **** all over it
