Styling Yellow!

How many shades of yellow did Fiat do for the Mk2/Mk2b?

I assume mine is broom yellow (as that is the only one i can find), but I want to be sure.

258 - broom yellow (the common one)
507 - giallo imola
509 - giallo ginestra

Don't get caught out they all look similar to each other

No problem, if you can't find the code just give your reg to fiat and they will tell you guaranteed.

and just to further add ,yellow is very bad for fading so be aware before say painting a full wing

Im after a rear bumper, hence checking out the colour.

The bumpers will be painted, same bumper for every car just painted differently. If your struggling to find the colour buy it from a bodyshop. They won't charge much and will mix the correct one.

managed to get a bumper for £30 in the right colour so im pretty happy about that!

Just need to decide what to do about the fading plastics

Are you talking about black bumpers?
If so, any treatment is just a temporary measure, some last longer than others.

no its the yellow spoiler and wing mirrors, they are quite heavily faded

The bumpers and spoiler are faded on mine too.
ive used G3 on them and its made abig difference.

Theres cheaper paint renovators out there that do the same job,
but ilike the G3.

Sonax is good too,


take your time with it and it shouid make abig difference,
get a few coats of wax on afterwards and it will keep the colour for longer,

g5 is qicker in a paste with a mop but keep the water squirting down and always cover the plastic scuttle up with an old blanket tucked under the bonnet
