Im a massive Broom Yellow fan too, had two
I have a model classic 500 I sprayed in Broom Yellow with black and red seats. The 500 yellow is nice though.
I love my yellow 500 with lounge interior![]()
Hi guys
I've recently been promoted at work and now have a sizable increase in my monthly budget. I intend paying off the HP finance (Fiat 50 to 500 Plan) in March / April and then upgrading to a Lounge because I want the added features and the car I should've bought in the first place.
I'm more than happy to wait until April / May and see what the 500 Convertible brings but equally happy to have the tin (and glass) top Lounge.
I'm going for the 1.3 MultiJet because I recently drove the Grande Punto MJ and thought it was a superb engine for its size. Great turbo input and tonnes of low down torque.
Thing is I want to get this one right and I can't decide what colour to consider. I desperately missed the boat BIG TIME by not getting Punk Grey as I adored that colour.
Bossa Nova White looks excellent sitting on the Motorshow stands, in the showroom and washed and polished on my drive. Thing is its totally impossible to keep clean and I don't have the time to wash it nearly everyday to keep some evidence of its whiteness.
I'm toying with the idea of Ye Ye Green, may be with the vintage leather, but I am stuck. Has anyone seen the Electroclash Grey in person and if so, how does it compare to Punk Grey?
Any thoughts would be grateful and I know this is purely personal choice, but I appreciate your guys input.

Looks like you might have missed the boat on Ye Ye too, see Scroggs recent post under, "do you have a low absorption colour?"

Please don't go and kill yourself or anything similarly drastic, I only said it isn't available to order at the moment. There has been no announcement from Fiat that it has been dropped. This has put me in a mood this evening and I'm well peed off with Fiat!![]()

Yeah I agree, just because it wasn't over popular doesn't mean they should scrap it. I would have paid more for it (even if it had been as expensive as the Funk White) I even cheekily asked if they would spray my car with Punk Grey or one of the byDiesel colours if I paid them more. They said no thoughThanks for that MissR. What a shame it's not available now. I think it really suits the car's retro appeal, as does the punk grey. It's purely subjective I know and for what it's worth I think the unlucky/poor resale value thing is a load of cobblers.
The colour of a car can make all the difference to it's appeal. A nice rich cream similar to the colour VW offer on the Beetle would also be ideal for the 500.
Even cars of no particular appeal to me can be greatly helped by the colour. For example I've seen the new Fiesta in a creamy beige sort of colour (looks better than it sounds) and compared to say silver, it really looks nice. - Incidently, there's no mention of that colour either on the official Ford website!
Not everyone will agree of course, it's whatever floats your boat. Which is as it should be.
