"The looks are so wonderful, in fact, that you probably won’t care about the drawbacks. But there are a few. The headlights are hopeless, you really can’t see what’s coming from the left at oblique junctions,.."
now how many articles have you read that criticise lights. its something usually overlooked or not even considered worth talking about so this may be a real problem in this case.
blue chav lights anyone? :D:p

Fair point worth consideration...Anyone else on here finding their standard headlights inadequate?

I saw that article too and I think its better to be safe than sorry, I am getting some for sure (y)

Well, they are pretty good, no brighter I'd say, but a different colour, less yellow so they give better definition at night.

Which light's come on when you select dipped headlight's? The smaller lower ones?

Are the bigger more higher lights the full beam lights?
The three stages on 500 are:

Smaller lamps on bright = Daytime Running Lights
Smaller lamps on dim + Main lamps on = Dipped Beam
Smaller lamps on bright + Main lamps on = Full Beam

So are these LED bulbs better for people wanting to use day running lamps?

With them probably using less power as they are LED's and will probably last longer as they are LED's!

Thanks

PS mark elvin, what lamps are in the bigger light enclosure, H7's?

Just saw this thread.

If you want to have the look of Xenon's then buy Ebay/cheap Xenon look bulbs, if you actually want to improve your headlight performance buy Osram Nightbreaker bulbs, they are the best bulbs I have tried. They are noticeably whiter than a normal bulb (they state 10%), but have a very nice spread of light again stated as 90% improvment. I have read good reviews on Philips Xtreme bulbs as well though not used as last test I read the Osram outperformed them.

If money is no object buy some very expensive PIAA bulbs, which are meant to be brilliant but do come at a premium price to reflect this.

Range of places to buy various bulbs including LED's which are generally better made and will last longer and not dull like some cheap LED's do.
