Technical Dashboard lights (speedometer)

I have a 2013 Fiat 500 sport.
Recently the lights where the speedometer is on the dash disappeared which makes it harder to see how fast or slow I'm driving. The menu and icon lights are fine. Does anyone have any suggestions? There is no dimmer light switch on this model.

This was my 2013 speedo, and you can see the LEDs on the backboard, you can test all the LEDs.

Your 500 is built in Mexico, so not identical to the European 500

In all probability, the basics will be similar

The Euro models have a common upgrade due to faults/ style

They have performed LOTS of speedo swaps..., so have probably seen the illumination side of things

I checked YouTube and couldn't find a video for the 2013 year. Later models have a small switch. Just curious ... how do you know my car was made in Mexico? Are there any labels or identifying numbers on the car? Ty

On mine, 2013 Lounge, the display dimmer setting only appears in the binnacle menu when the headlights are switched on. It has eight levels but does not completely go off so that may not help.

All North American models are built in Mexico as far as I know.

That's coz it's basically the Brit RHD model. I doubt Mehico builds any RHD.

I set it on the 12th 0f July 2013 to full brightness and haven't ever accessed it since, so I'd forgotten it even existed!
