The buttons right of the speedometer (beam adjust and ESC) are extremely rattly. They work fine, but rattle with the smallest vibration. They work fine and seem connected to each other, but there is lots of play. I guess some foam behind the speedometer has dissolved, or something broke?

Is there any way to fix this without removing the speedometer and/or replacing the buttons? Some kind of foam around the buttons? Something like a square with a round hole so it can stop the buttons from moving around?

There should be a piece of foam over the buttons which stop any rattling. If the buttons have been rattling since you got the car then I expect someone has had the speedo out (a surprisingly easy job) and forgotten to put the foam back in.

You can only see two buttons as the other one is broken off. But you should easily be able to fashion a piece of foam to do the job.

Thanks, thats obviously whats wrong. The heater matrix has been changed, if this involves removing the speedometer, then it got lost back then.
