I'm in the process of upgrading the head unit in my 2017 Fiat 500 Pop. I installed a uconnect 7 system and made the necessary changes to the proxy alignment code and all is working fine.

I then changed the steering wheel from the basic 6 button version that came with my Pop, to an 8 button version from a 2024 Lounge. Only 6 of the buttons do anything, and these 6 buttons function as per the buttons in the original steering wheel, not the new one.

I assume I need to make a proxy alignment change but not sure.

There are two parameters in multiecuscan related to the steering wheel buttons..

Steering Wheel Buttons (1) - Type C
Steering Wheel Buttons (2) - Type A, 6 Button.

I have tried various options on these two parameters, e.g. Type B, 8 Button, but they didn't appear to have any impact so I'm guessing another change is required at the same time.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what these parameters are set to on a 2017+ Lounge or if there is something else I need to do to make this work?
