Hello!!
My 2010 500C 1.4 dualogic shows weird fuel consumption data on dashboard.. When you floor the gas pedal, it will show 4,4l, 5l, low consumption readings, and when I'm driving in fifth gear on 2400rpm, it shows 17l, 20l etc.. Is there a way to calibrate board computer or something like that?

Hi.
That shows as if it is the INSTANT:LIVE figure..

Measure over a 100km trip.
How does it compare to the manual fuel vs distance calculation..?.(normally within @5% accuracy)

The only complication I have found:
The TRIP functions calulate distance up to
@2000kms..then reset to ZERO..but keep recording fuel used.

So inication consumption drops(-raises) hugely

I wonder if they’re complaining that it’s the wrong way round and are expecting it to be high when they put their foot down and low when they are pootling along.

I wonder if they’ve got their units confused and it’s km/l and not l/100km

My Mazda is worse its litres per 100 miles so the lower the figures the better

Exactly, my 2010 1.4 Sport shows consumption in km/l, therefore higher number is better.

I know what you are saying, the readings are arse about but I just don't know how the fiat 500 works out how much fuel you are using. Perhaps a sensor has failed, if I had to guess I would say it somehow works out the amount of fuel being put through the injectors. Hopefully someone knowledgeable can help you out.
