what does this wire do as mine is cut off

I just wondered if it has anything to do with the brake fluid low level message turn engine off when I switch on the ignition, it has plenty of brake fluid in also my handbrake warning light stays on no matter what position the handbrake is in

If it is a brake pad sensor wire, it should turn the warning on when earthed, so providing it's not shorted to earth anywhere, it doesn't have to be connected. Obviously, the low brake pad warning light will not activate if the wire is not connected to the prake pad.

Wiring problem

Definitely the Pad warning wire, the other is the ABS Sensor Lead.
I always cut mine off, much better to check by eye regularly.
Only time I relied on one it it didn't work and the Pads wore down to the Metal

can the the brake fluid warning light be on because the brake pads are low would this affect the handbrake warning light?
