Ive installed amp, sub, new door speakers and everything is working, but i cant work out how to route the speaker wires through the door to the speakers.
I'm assuming now that ill have to cut the two speakers wires from the loom in the footwell and chocolate block the new cables onto them, keeping the existing connections through the footwell and door, however i don't know which wires they are.
Does anybody know what color the wires are or if there's a better way of doing it. (pics to reassure me im doing it right would be fantastic)

Thanks in advance
Ben

Im curious on the same thing and have the same car. Was just going to give up and just have the rear ones wired from the amp but if anyone can help us that would be great! :D

Wire at the HU into the ISO block then you are tapping into the cars standard wiring. People say that you should always put thicker more suitable wiring through the twist lock grommet. There will be spare room to drill through and put your new wires through.

yeah thats what i was about to do but how do you bypass the crossover cos the stock tweeters are rubbish and i cant afford new ones just yet.

All finished - sounds awesome BTW :)
1 quicke anybody know of a way of tieing a sub down in a boot without bungees (tried and failed) using a sheet of mdf or drilling into the chassis (too lazy)? cos currently im using my extendable pull up bar and a block of wood.

ive got some Velcro underneath, do the l brackets need to have holes drilled tho?
thanks again! :)

Actually don't bother i just went for a drive around mecca bingo car park and it didn't move an inch :)

I'm scared of drilling into bodywork, i went through the wire that opens the boot from the driver footwell on Thursday which involved a rather embarrassing trip to my bike shop asking if they had 14ft of brake cable and shielding :s

2 words.

Epic Fail.

It shouldnt hurt drilling though, just dont leave the metal exposed seal it with some paint so it wont rust in years to come (y)

And check the area that you are drilling through first.
We all make epic fails in car audio its all part of learning. I was working on mine yesterday. Went to start the car this morning and it wouldnt turn over. Turns out i had bent a piece of metal on one of the earth bolts on the battery so it touched another earth bolt on the same battery. Why this affected the car i dont know.
I then went to drive off after geting it started and had no brakes, i fail again. Idiot here in my haste to quickly chuck the power cable through the engine bay routed it inbetween the brake mechanism on the passenger side. :D

Learn from mistakes and dont make them twice.
