Hi there,
I'm about to wire in my second amp and have a few questions on how is best to do so.

I already run a 600W amp from an 8AWG power cable.
Could I add a junction box to split the current into two more 8AWG cables - one for each amp.
OR
Should I run a 4AWG cable from the battery to a junction box and have an 8AWG cable to each amp.

Should I use inline fuses?
OR
A fused junction box?

Does it matter what thickness my remote wire is?
(could I splice the remote wire from the 1st amp to provide a remote wire to the second amp too?)

Does it matter what thickness my Ground wire is?
Also, Could I connect both grounds to the same point?

Can anyone recomend a good brand of RCA cable? I dont want to pay the earth but want a good signal as i have shelled out for some decent componant speakers.

Last question is:
I have two pais of RCA connectors coming from my head unit...
The second pair is labled on the wiring schematic as NON-FADER..
What does this mean and which pair should I wire to the Sub amp and which pair should I wire to the Component Speaker amp?

Many thanks.
Ollie

You will need a 4 Gauge Wiring Kit. knukonceptz or Autoleads.
You will need a Distribution Block ;) One Fused for + and one unfused for ground.
The thickness of the Ground should be the same as the power. So match each of them

A knukonceptz or Any reasonably priced RCA would do the Job. Just buy it from somewhere that knows what they are talking about and dont pay £2.50 and your sorted.

Non Fader is for the Sub amp (y)

Yo,
Awesome reply as usual. I have one more question before I buy all the relitive bits.:)

I am going to use a fused distribution block.
Both of my amps have a 40A fuse in... does this mean I should have 40A fuses in the distribution block??
Also if I use a fused distribution block do I need to use an in-line fuse in the feed wire from the battery?

One little one. Should I use a Special screw down ground terminal, or would a simple ring tag with a bolt through do the trick?

Many thanks.
Cant wait to put this all together :slayer:

you always need an inline fuse up front. The one at the rear in the fuse box is just there for added protection against a short closer to the amp than battery. With this in mind i always use more than the amps fuse rating but less than the smaller cable as the fused distibution is protecting the cable more than the amps.

I use proper earth terminals but you can get away with a ring termial and bolt.

(y)Pro.

Thanks man. The plan is an 80A up front which comes with the KnuKoncept kit and two 60As in the distribution block.
Gonna order that today..
Just waiting on my ebay sound deadening, distribution block for the ground and speaker mount adaptors.
Cant wait!:slayer:

I've ordered from the yanky site. IVe had a order confirmation order but no delivery confrimation yet so sent them an e-mail just.
We'll have to see. in the mean time i'll look for a replacement.

Just for a heads up, I got the delivery from KnuKonceptz, they have a UK distributor. Terrible communication though. I sent two e-mails and no replys until I contacted them through their ebay profile asking them to kindly reply.

The Kit i received looks great though.
just need some free time now.
Thanks for the help(y)

Shoot sorry I forgot to ask what was going on. Hopefully it's just a temporary measure whilst the UK site is updated. I know tey have been meaning to do it for ages.
