Grrr!
For a couple of weeks now, my left front wiper has been making a sticking noise on its way down to rest position(hope that makes sense) - and it has finally got to me!
The wipers themselves i got just a few months back, and they're fine...but when i applied pressure to the base of the wiper arm (the slightly rounded "thing") the noise would stop...and start again as i eased off :S
Does anyone have any idea at all what to do about this? Would i need a new arm?
Thanx in advance guys

have you tried a new blade
i'm being serious. mine only last 3 months before they smear, or squeal. but as they are only £7 a pair, its no problem to replace.
try that first...

If you remove the cover cap off the base of the wiper arm there is a nut try losening it and giving it a spray with WD40 also wipe some vinegar on your windscreen

or try wiping vinegar on your wiper blades like the bloke on the RAC advert says!

Cheers for the replies guys :)
Buzz>> i think i will, but going to try the WD40 and nut thing first, as i really don't think it's the blade, though that's what i thought till the pushing against the nut :)
Can't say i've seen the RAC ad....but will take your word for it guys, and try...vinegar :s

lift the blade off the screen (as in when u want to wash the car etc) then run the motor without it touching the glass, that'll answer if u need a new blade or not
