Hi All,
Help needed please, I have had a good scout about and can find nothing on this particular set of symptoms, if anyone can give a clue I'd be much relieved!
I have an 05 plate 1.3 Panda Dynamic Diesel, great little car etc, etc. The wipers (Front) were a little juddery when wiping, but all was O.K.
On the motorway, in pounding rain they just stopped. That was that, until the car sat overnight, and then they started working again. Strange.
Now the wipers will give 2 or 3 wipes and then stop, ALWAYS either one third of the way down the screen on the return stroke or about a quarter of an inch from parked on the up stroke.
I thought, how hard can it be to change the motor, (Having read a few threads about sticky and greasy motors,) and after being quoted £212 by one place and finding that most people can not get hold on one at all, I bought one off Ebay for £37, fitted it and although it is now not juddery, still EXACTLY the same.
This leads me to wonder if it is the relay? so, here's where I need the help, does that sound like a reasonable diagnosis, (I thought it might be the relay in the first place but a lot of threads said to was likely the motor, so given the judderyness of it it had to go anyway!)
And, slightly more embarrasing, where is the relay?
Many thanks for any help recieved, I can do the mechanicals but electronics are a bit 'Black Arty'.
