Windscreen washer reservoir seal

This evening my mate decided he would try and fix my rear spray jet for me, as he is obviously an expert. While he was checking the pump by the reservoir, he pulled out the whole thing, so obviously my freshly topped up screenwash started to pour onto my garage floor. In his rush to get it back in, he pushed the rubber seal inside the reservoir, resulting in the whole tank emptying its lovely contents everywhere.

So basically, I need to know what size seal it is, or if there is a part number for it. Its a '99 1.2 bravo.

Also, how much does the tank take? Just so I can charge him for it, of course.

Thanks in advance

Alex.

buy a 5l tub of windscreen wash and get him to pay for it :)

Oh I'm going to. But he's not touching my car again. Ever. I'm hoping he got me a seal today, as he is actually a mechanic. I was just amazed he would do something like that.

Don't worry you can all stop rushing around trying to help me. I took the tank off and it was in there. Still didn't fix my rear spray wash though.

How are you meant to unblock the pipes? I gave myself a headache trying to blow them clean.

blow them clean lol

i imagine to pour hot water down them?

Change the non return value. Follow the tubing to the rear until you see a plastic block which may have an arrow on it. Sounds to me thats the fault if the motors working and the tubes connected to the rear motor.

I managed to lose my seal in the resevoir shortly after I got my Coupe. I was trying to get the vaguely working washer system to co-operate when it just went pop and fell inside. New seal later, new piping with some delicate work and everything was fine :)

Oooh yeh I suppose I should check the return valve. Someone mentioned that to me the other day and I forgot. Either that or Mr Muscle should sort i think. There isn't really anything else to be wrong lol. I'm really busy for the next few days, but I'll try it tuesday.

Cheers guys :)

That's exactly the same as me. Can hear the motor pump and everything, but nothing comes out the pipe. Can't blow down the pipe, so fairly sure it's blocked.

I looked quickly for this non return thing, but can't see it. I assume I've got to take some covers off?

let me know if you succeed mate :)
