I'm new to the forum. I own a Fiat Punto with the Blue & Me package in Brazil. Without any apparent reason, part os the system stopped working.
1. While playing files via Media Player (USB drive), I can't change tracks using the steering wheel controls (or any controls at all, the tracks just playback automatically with no real control).
2. If I try to use voice recognition to do so, I don't get the tone that indicates the system is ready for voice recognition after hitting the "Windows" key.
3. The same thing happens when I try to use my mobile. The phone is synced with the system and works, just like hte Media Player, but I can't make or answer calls using the steering wheel controls. To do so, I have to use the phone's touchpad.
4. So in both situations, the systems seem to be working, only the keys on the steering wheel are malfunctioning (or not functioning at all).
5. The funny thing is that while playing a CD, I am able to change tracks and and volume using the steering wheel controls, which I believe eliminates wiring problems.
6. Every once in a while a message on the dashboard computer shows up. It says "Windows Ill".
Has this ever happened to anyone here? Is there a restart command for the whole system? I've tried unpluggin and repluggind the USB drive, unsyincing and resyncing the phone, shutting down the car then turning it on again. Nothins has worked. Up to last week, everthing worked just fine. I'm using a BlackBerry 8310 Curve.
