Just want to moan about the lack of quality and care taken in the manufacture of parts !!!?
I've been sprucing up the interior this winter and obviously changing parts that are showing their age. My original window winders are some of these parts, when you lower the glass it drops a bit before catching the winder again. Not the end of the world but annoying.
Today I dry fitted a new winder in the door to check before attempting to fit glass etc. What an appalling fit. The body of the winder will not bolt back to the door flush like the original.
The main body that holds the cogs and lever has been pressed with a radius on the inner edge which holds it away from the door. The originals have a square inner edge.
Has anyone fitted these and what did you do to get over this issue?
Or did you refit the originals?
I might start a spot the difference competition, please post your answers to the suppliers that time and time again take our good money for sh#t products!!
Thanks for listening
David
