Has any one done this? I like the mod.
The captive rubber need replacing with an alternative design which will squish upon closure of the glass.
Wondering what the catches / hinges youve used.

Excellent.Thanks. I was trying to decipher the bracketing . So when the time comes, drilling into glass, (whether it be tempered , toughened or laminated is the next issue.) You can get those tiny circular glass core drills, and am intending on trying it out, it’ll definitely need some kind of lubricant as well as the glass being held onto some kind of fabric to absorb micro vibrations.
I’ll keep posted.

small holes can be cut in tempered/toughened glass but only by laser no chance of drilling
