Ok.

But you'll have to make sure we are all running on the same fuel though as Optimax is higher octane than standard unleaded :)

Whoa...

This thread has turned into more than i expected...lol

I wasnt knocking the fact of having NO2 as such, its just an easy(ier) way of getting a quick 100bhp ;)

I will publish my website as soon as get all the pics and the guides up, but as a taster, here is a work-in-progress flash banner.

Feel free to ask any questions :)

OP

i think the fuel that you use is irrelative we all go the the petrol station for fuel if whomever be there chooses to use normal or optimax its upto them

Theres a bit of Bravo in all of us

Well, suposedly you get better performance from optimax, but i've yet to see it.

OP

On anything under 150bhp, you probably wont see a measurable BHP difference. but add it to a highly tuned boxer engine for example, and optimax can give genuine measureable gains. Independent tests have seen as much as +15bhp on a subaru impreza, and +0 on a peugeot 206 1.4

i'm loving the way this thread turned out lol. started a proper fight with my bad mood lol.

@Danny, my point was that it seems silly to say who's bravo is most powerful, then rule out modified ones.

re

fao OP,

looks good from the banner mate!

mine was a 16vt lancia engine basically first of all, but i melted a piston :(

so it was cheaper for me to get it rebuilt as an 8vt as i could get parts for that!

Op, hav you got any pics m8?
what wing mirrors and bonnet vent is that?

I'm not interested in whether my mule is any faster or slower than any other bravo. Rolling roads are academic and results vary hugely.

All that conecrns me is getting clear of women drivers, OAP's in flat caps and dicks in golf GTi's ;)

u can add dick heads in seat ibiza cupra 160 tdi's as of the 1st june... lol thats when i get mine

this is a pointless thread in my eyes. as its personal taste. i respect what nico, ribs, turbo j, walls'o, and the rest of u have done to ur cars. but u will always have conflict views.

plus surely i win the 1.6 catagory cos u all took a bravo and made it look nice.. but i took the brava (the old flat caps car) and look what i have done... u dont count walls'o the heart of ur cars a lancia ur in a league on ur own

re

we will def have best looking brava's! and i still prefer my brava to any bravo i have seen because it defferent.

looks like there is a lancia powered bravo now but i'm still the only brava!

@ Allan - I can second that! I have already had problems with this engine, but it wasnt until i got this one working again did i learn that valuable lesson.

Solved by fitting wire 'O' rings in the top of the liners (reading from my reciept). Got a bit worried when he said if he got his measurements wrong it might cause head gasket issues...seems ok so far though.

@ Ryan - Plently of pics (including a stupid amount of work in progress pics, all of which will be on my website as soon as i have time to finish it).

You will have to ignore the '4x4 Conversion' part for the moment. It has been removed to to technical problems...lol

The bonnet vent is just a universal one. I chose that one specifically as it feeds the air directly into the airbox (airbox is in the center and at the rear of the integrale engine, just in front of the wipers).

The mirrors are just cheap DTM style ones i got from a show at the end of last year. I couldn't get any base plates for them, so the bodyshop remolded some standard ones i got from a scrappy with fibreglass so they look like one piece.

OP

re

i got quoted 1500quid to make my brava 4x4 using dedra integrale stuff if i found a donor dedra integrale!

have you done the conversion yourself? i guess from what you say about o rings someone rebuilt it for you?

mine had all the correct piston rings etc maybe that is a different style of piston ring or something?

i know i have a nice melted piston ash tray at home!

@nico

if all goes to plan next couple of months you might have some competion with the hgt! ;)

After the last lot of runs I found out.. all the petrols can do 60 in just 1 gear change... the poor Diesels need 2 gear changes.. cos it will only do 50mph flat out in 2nd.. and by doign that ur well outta usable power!

Have you tried starting in 2nd - you've got loads of torque
