me thinks i am still in need of a race dan!..and "1.2 king" i think our bravos head to head would be an interesting race..seeing as i can get about the same out of each gear..though top end the max ive had is 118mph so fair play to you!

You're all wrong.

Mt HGT was a modified 4 litre V10 40valve. In essence, two motors welded together. I added two turbochargers, two superchargers, I put some pigs back meat in the cams and some dastardly technical chips in the electric bits (I washed them first, to get the salt off though).

The whole lot was then strapped on the back to make it rear whell drive and I addded a cocnut with holes in it for an air filter. It wouldn't run right, so I made an exhaust out of scaffolding and used an aluminium bucket for the tail pipe.

But.....it still wouldn't pull to the desired effect. So; I went to Motormania and bought a Max Power sitcker. A big one too. That did the job.

I'm glad you didn't take it seriously; it wasn't meant to take the rise out of anyone, just a sideswipe at silly Max Power type machinery. You know, the one that Carlos Fandango drives.....

Rog where did you get the coconut air filter from? Did you make it or buy it? I'm looking for some extra bhp and that sounds like a great idea!

Most Supermarkets sell them. Either that or send a monkey up a tree for one.

Move like an increase of 50bhp! Anyay, it's not just the increase of bhp and inreased torque; it's the actual kudos of actually having a Max Power visor strip front and rear that did the job. The care kinda felt it owed it to Max to run properly, and boy, did it.

I nearly forgot to mention the other caontributing factors....

1) Customary window down with elbow resting on the door sill, as an additional roof support and...

2) Huge great open mounted speakers and flashing Kenwood sound system (must be Kenwood mind you, none of this posh Alpine gear). Suitable grooves applicable of course. None of this nostalgic 70's crap.

Adhere to these basic principles and you're a winner.

If anybody wants any advice about women, please don't hesitate to ask............
