Which Laptop?

Which Laptop?

I will have a think about it, I need to find the PSU for it anyway and confirm it is mine to sell! If it is fully working conditition I would hope for £70 for your price + some postage, I could get more on ebay.

It's not very good Steve since the screen is 12.1" and DSTN (very slow response rate) although it's usable for office products and the internet etc. I am just being honest.

the Toshiba ones can run cd/rw, tho you willhav to buy an external one :D

id go with the one in Jonny's ebay 3440t, tho wait until he buys his to make sure its legit :p

Steve, the laptop I am selling is of a VERY different spec to what you require.

Pete, you're looking at laptops for £440 with a spec nowhere near mine, remember the spec of mine allows you to use it for practically everything.

The price I will ask for it depends on how Gericom return it to me, so I have to wait and see.

yea, but i dont have a lot of money, the only way to afford more would be to pay over 2 months

Well, this is the spec:
P4 3.06ghz laptop with hyper threading, 1gb RAM, 60GB HDD, Geforce5600go 128mb, 1400*1050 high res 15.1 screen, with wireless, DVD+/-RW, 4 USB, firewire etc.

Right now, dodgy paint finish on palm rest, zero battery life and broken PSU or PSU socket. Hopefuly some of those issues will be solved by Gericom.

I expect if all fixed inc. new battery (yeah right!) £500, battery not fixed but everything else, £450, if only PSU socket fixed leaving ugly paint and no battery, £400.

The amusing thing is, that's "only" £200 or so more than you were looking at spending on a 6-7 year old laptop, however, it will give most desktops a run for its money, play all modern games, allow CD/DVD copying etc. etc. but if that's not your thing, there's no point considering paying a few hundred more.

paul, not all of us have a studnet loan to fall back on!

i only have a little money!

i know yours is a good laptop, but thats like saying why have a Cinq SX when you could hava Stilo Abarth, its only more money!!

you say only £200 quid, but for me that a LOT of money! i dont need a laptop to be a real power house, as im gonna have a new desktop soon enough,

its just for surfing round my familys houses, so id like to play the odd game!

.........and they wernt 6-7 years old :chin:

A P500 or so is about 6-7 years old, isn't it?

Anyway, I am sure we could sort out a two month payment or whatever, I would prefer it to ebay and I very much doubt you would dare rip me off ;) ANyway, I don't know how Gericom will be returning my laptop to me (if at all!) so just got to wait and see.

My sort of laptop would mean little need for a desktop for at least a year.

i wasnt looking at a P500!

i was looking at 2.2 celerons and 1.3 something-elses

My first laptop was a P120 panasonic toughbook, 48MB RAM upgraded, my first PC was a SX25 with 8MB, upgraded to SX33 for £12, CD-ROM and soundcard later (double speed) for £50, wow! However, the P120 did internet etc. as much as I needed at the time, I am a big fan of people only buying what they need.

I am sure I can tempt you when I hear from the gerries ;)
