OK, I know I'm about to open a can of worms here, and this is likely to be controversial, but looking for opinion on what the best colour is for the 100HP, grey or blue? :chin: Factors are:

Looks - will it blend in with other cars subtley then take them by surprise, or will it stand out cheekily and attract attention, and which colour works best with the skydome?

Cleaning - how often will it look dirty on salt/mud infested Scottish roads?

Cash - Any difference in cost? Any difference in resale value?

Let the discussion begin!

Red, obviously!

But if you're set on either grey or blue, then blue all the way. There are way too many grey cars on the roads already, it's like a never-ending sea of boredom.

Blue!!! But then I would say that :p

TBH, the white one's I've seen have all looked very smart too, and they suit the skydome too.

Somebody had to suggest red I suppose! :p It was inevitable. I originally thought red, but I see too many sun-faded red cars about (in the sea of grey ones of course!) to go for red, and it stands out just a little too much. I'm all in favour of subtlety. Another factor is, will we notice what colour it is if we spend 6 months of the year driving it half asleep to and from work in the dark?! I just thought salt might blend in more with grey... Blue looks nice too though. AAAAARGH! :bang: I wonder if the new giant mirrors are also a factor?

Just waiting for a moment of inspiration...

White..... Now there's another option to briefly consider... It looks great when it's clean but it never would be, doing a yearly mileage of approximately 18K in all weathers on roads near farms and fields.... On the other hand, we would have to pay for them to paint it blue or grey and white seems to be the "in" colour for cars at the minute... Despite that, I have to say I'm still swayed towards one or other of those colours. I can only think of one, or two at the most white cars in town - a Scirroco and I think there's an M3 in white somewhere. Oh, and our local fire engine's white too... Somebody commented we were too grippy to shell out for the red paint! Ironically the Scirroco owner happens to be the fire chief I believe! Do they all come with blue keys, or are the keyfobs colour coded to the car? Blue key, blue car?.... Hmmm....

Black obviously!!!!

The only downside is keeping it clean but if your choice is blue or grey then I'd go blue all the way, much more interesting than the grey and grey/silver is so prominent these days.

Oh well! A recurring theme then! Not much contest here!

I was tempted by the grey myself; all the magazines seemed to run grey ones and it looked pretty smart. However when I saw one at the dealer it looked too anonymous - it also made the Panda look even smaller than it is, so out of the grey or blue I'd go for the blue.

However, I went for the white - looks good with the Skydome, black arch extensions and dark rear windows.

if possible I'd suggest going to a large dealer, look at them in all colours and then decide which you prefer. I think some look better in photos than in the flesh. After that exercise for me it was red, black was no go, I wasn't over keen on white and all the grey ones looked a bit tatty. That said, the only colour I haven't seen in the flesh is blue which might be a good reason for choosing it, think I'd choose blueover grey except that you get the red Fiat badges.

:p Defo grey, stealth mode, nobody notices you blatting up the M6 at 110.....................(y)

Chose Electroclash - otherwise known as grey/gunmetal - I was very tempted by white but I've already had 131 Sport, Ritmo Abarth 130TC and Uno Turbo ie in more or less the same colour so I stuck with it. I've only seen one in the metallic blue - in Italy last summer - looked very smart. Red not a good idea.

New Orleans Blue!

But, the white 100hp's look good, the white with black trim set it off well

When I got my 100hp they had a blue and black one on the forecourt and fel for the blue one instantly, not bad to say we was looking for a GPunto

I said to the salesman, I bet the 100hp looks good in white, he told me only blue, grey and black ones are available, I knew nothing about the 100hp so took his word.

I've seen the 100hp in the full colour range and honestly think the blue is the best, but, I might be a little bit biased lol

I liked the stealthy looks of the Grey (which is why I chose it!)

Not that it means anything, but for what it's worth, here's my reasons for choosing Grey and not the other colours....

Blue: Nice, but our Punto that the 100hp replaced was Blue so I didn't want another blue car!

Red: Again very nice, but I always have reservations about Red paint long-term...

Black: Didn't think the Black looked quite as sporty as the other colours and my previous Black cars put me off, due to how dirty they always looked!

White: It was going to be 3 weeks for a Grey one or 12 weeks for a White one (which the dealer didn't know you could order!)...Mine ended up being 8 weeks as it happens, but I still do like the 'Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet' look (all White with Black bits!) White would be my second choice.

Grey: I've never owned a silver / grey car so for me it was a bit different! I thought the black accents stood out well without being too showy...Our other Panda is Turquoise, so I wanted a subtle colour...

Like I said, I know it means nothing, but I didn't want to just put 'Grey is best blah blah blah'

:D

If I was buying one now, white, but it wasn't available when I got mine.

I could have had blue or grey, plumped for the grey one as it was a better buy. I didn't really want another grey car but it suits the Panda.

I quite like a black car (I've had a couple) but I don't think it suits the Panda too well, same with red.

Red not a good idea.

Red is always a good idea. Cheeky small cars like the Panda are not made for boring colours :)

Modern red paint doesn't really fade anymore and even if it does, all it takes to bring it back to the original luster is a wash, polish and wax.

just needs some reflective battenbergs......:p

fiat really need to think about bringing back "broom yellow", bright vibrant colours look good on the panda, mrs jai initially wanted guacamole green, then switched to tessio blue, before finally giving the salesman a break and settling for sparkling blue. looks good on overcast days, great on sunny ones
