My now wife went to university in Liverpool, I used to get told off for doing Harry Enfield impressions while walking around the city when we were their.
I've been doing "calm down" jokes for many years, it never fails to amuse me
I remember reading this article about how a scouse man, in a different part of the country, was arrested for being drunk in a public place, he was slurring his speech and barely understandable. He gets to the station and after a breath test the police realise he wasn't drunk. His accent made him appear to be drunk

We used to have a pair here. They live in the cattle shelter 100 yards up the road, but they seem to have gone AWOL recently which is a shame. There are a number in the east anglian countryside, or were before they started to wreck the countryside with the off shore wind power works and new A47 dual carriageway. It will take at least 25 years for things to fully recover. It now looks like the Somme this side of Norwich. I hope they do a lot of replanting, but fear this may be pared back for cost reasons.Driving back just now, last stretch before the house with no street lights.

I went roller skating last night and had a pretty good time. I've been running my quads for the past few months because my ankle wasn't happy in the full boot of my inline skates. I thought I'd bring both pairs along this time and give the inlines a shot. I started with the inlines and finished ninety minutes later wearing a the same inlines. I was beat after the ninety minutes but that meant that I can put the quads away for a while.
The roller rink has a large room for parties, usually for kids birthday parties. Last night, there was a large adult shindig happening. And people were dressed kind of funny. At 7:30, this group comes out onto the rink floor and they are all laughing and having a grand time. I skated along side one woman and asked, "Is this some sort of an 80s party?" She said yes. I said, "Good, because I thought I was having a flashback. BTW, I had a bicycle with the same paint job as your suit."
With the BS that's happening on this side of the pond with Mango Mussolini and Anal Musk, I needed to get out and enjoy myself.

Noop makes me smile. Wonderful steering, precise powerful brakes, great gear change, light clutch, neutral handling, comfotable ride, and really easy to get inand out. That its capable of an easy 90mph cruise or over60 to the gallon at a psh and the smile is vast. On sticky roads, the total absence of wheel slip pulling across onto a main road at full power is thecherry on topofhis cake!
We do have Fanta over. And I like Fanta Fascist. I've been quite busy this past week telling the Red Hat branch of my family, "I told ya so"
Having all my fillings done today makes me smile
Pretty sure it was bought by coca cola some years ago? So not surprised you have it.
I remember the smile my Panda's put on my face when I took one of the back roads here, bouncy but not too twisty roads - gave the most thrilling softened ride in both Panda's, with the 2005 being a little more rollercoaster like with the body roll. The 2017 more composed and steady, but soft with a bit of Italian liveliness in the pitch motion.
It's only fun in the CT because of the tyres but nothing really beats the smile the Panda puts on your face when driving. Smiles per gallon.
It was here when I was a kid but it didn't hold a candle to Orange Crush.
Finally sitting down after doing this since 3pm... Not perfect, but not bad for a junior programmer who might presume would otherwise have no real world skills! lol
I'll miss Homebase... last year got most of these tiles when doing the floor (quite a bit harder than this tiny little bit around the bath). Got most of the tools, lower end but adequate for all I'll use them for 5 minutes away, in stock, cheap enough last year. And now, 30% off plain tiles, 50% off trim bits and all... Shame for it to go. Only Screwfix or a 30 mile drive to the nearest B&Q. Screwfix isn't bad, but the real trade-men always stare at me, just like the real mechanics stare at me when I'm waiting for parts at a motor factors, you know? Got that bath panel from Screwfix so they'll do the job going forward...
We got a nice set of taps for the bath from Homebase too, 50% off.. normally £130. They have the little waterfall bit and are a mixer style. But upon stripping off the former soggy-composite panel, the way the plumbing in this council flat is done, has absolutely no little cut-off valves and I have no idea how otherwise to stop the water supply, and I don't have the little tool to reach in and unscrew the old taps... so they ended up on eBay sadly. If any of you folks are interested I'll PM you the eBay link and give you a discount. I'll scrub those basic, old ones up with the right chemical blend to get them shining though. Disappointing that I can't fit those.
Needs the grout adding tomorrow and some finishing touches. It isn't perfect by any means, but better than the old smaller tile array that was painted over a hundred times. A coat of paint now and it'll be fine until eventually they do a bathroom refresh... there's a horrid old toilet and sink with some sort of metal support - both painted around and over a hundred times with a cover box over the plumbing. I tried to wire brush the paint off the screws to get inside, but they're corroded / rusted beyond moving so I'd better not tamper further.
