I made it to sign on this time :D (i slept in 2 weeks ago)
What's disturbing about that image, is that sometime around 1977/8 (it's all a bit hazy) I went out with a girl who looked remarkably similar to her/him. We met in the darkness of Romanov's night club in Manchester and what's even more disturbing; it took me 6 months to get out of the relationship. Dark days indeed.

car is totally ditched, need to clean it before sunday... but the wheels look ace in the light :D

Would it be indelicate to mention that perhaps the bonnet could have done with some attention before the wheels?

It's the look apparently...rust is in...:confused:although needs a severe griding to get rid of galvanising for it to take hold in a uniform manner.

Anyway spotted my old car again...still going 3 years after I sold it for 150 quid....:bang: And it still has the BELIEVE!!!! sticker on the speedo I put on so the needle would point to it when it went over 80mph (gawd bless that wreck of a 55s). The current owner apparently has a sense of humour! Although they also left all the other stickers it collected in its travels too.

is that so the camera falls over and gets damaged :woot: ;)
Are you suggesting that I would attempt to pervert the course of justice?

Does that mean we'll have a new trend of people making their cars look crap instead of shiny? That'll save a lot of time on a Sunday.

Judging by this one, one of the better known rat look cars you take an otherwise spotless car and fit one s**** panel...I don't understand sure someone will turn up and point out how mint it is...

the rat look is great on the right car.

then again im a fan of the old school rat rods and hot rods.
personally in my opinion though it doesnt suit cars under 40 years old.

my smile: although i have an exam today i dont have to go in to college untill 12:45:)

edit:now this is how the rat look should be done..................

primer look:

To qualify as a 'Rod', a car must be pre-'48....

This is a 40 year old car...I don't think it would suit the Rat look....

ah but you can do i t with a 63 mercury fine

it would work well with either of them plus ive never seen a rat look mercury custom.

edit: correction just found a 49. if you want to see proper rat look cars look into the primer nationals.

The panel wasn't fitted, it was distressed to look rusty on purpose :yuck:

If you read the whole thread:

the the guy's a total flake, can't make him mind up on which type/style of alloys to have let along the colour, and don't get me started on the fact that it's only a chuffin van! :yuck:

I need to take my original post back - I re-read the original thread instead of just looking at the pictures, and despite not liking the final choice of wheels and what the guy did to the bonnet I've got to admire the will and effort to take something ordinary and turn it into something unique (y)

sales calls:ROFLMAO:

"Hello i understand you work in IT"

"yep"

"well our company can offer you IT support"

"thats what I do though"

"well we have all sorts of things we can help out with"

"but then i woudnt have a job"

"can i speak to your boss?"

"umm no"

how stupid can you get. hang on ill pass you over so you can arrange some work for yourself from my boss and make me lose my job. (i understand the chance of them being cheaper and more ifficient than in house IT is impossible but you never know they could outsource me)
