That trailer would be over nthe limit too. My 6 x 4 weighs 400kg empty following strengthening to take weight....

Panda shrugs this and 450kgs off easily but I wouldnt like to have to explain in too much detail. The last Panda 4x4 towed my caravan (in an emergency) with poise and ease but that was somewhat above what its supposed to do. The only thing that made me feel uneasy was straining its clutch. With 4x4 and crawler first gear its capability is unquestionable.

Pandas on the top!
Get one of those Polish Freedom caravans, they’re so light as designed for a 126 to pull them

I used to think it strange that Citroen 2CV was OK to tow a trailer but original Ford KA was not!
Towing rates have changed at least three times, but older stuff was exempt…never liked towing the big livestock trailer with the landy’s but the jeeps and pickups we’ve had were all fine…wehn a Landy gets squirrely with a trailer, it’s a bit bum squeaky

Ive come close a few times. They are very good. I met a man who said he had been all over europe with his and a Panda 1.2. Only a very few places he feared to go due to lack of power. The TA didnt flinch with 1200kgs on the back and felt as stable as anything else I have towed with up to 50mph. I decided that was fast enough but power was also no issue. My understanding is the towing restrictions are solely based on the ability to pull away on a hill. Any cars that are not plated to tow were not submitted for assessement. As often as not for appearances and marketing. Pandas low towing limt is odd and may relate to Fiat not wanting warranty claims on the little power units after them beintg over worked / abused.

Just what I thought! My granddaughter, now 11, seems to have absolutely shot up in the last 6 months. I can see early signs of "teenagerism" in her too, she's becoming more argumentative and argues with her Mum and Granny more. Still likes a cuddle with gullible old grandad though - I freely admit she has me wrapped around her little finger!

Just to say it's not only you Jock!!
Our granddaughter is 9, and has us the same!!
Ours is getting 'teenagerism' too, but again, a 'huggle' (cross between a hug and a cuddle, apparently!!) is what grandads are for.

On the internet today I learnt a new word

Like my last job.

I finally was able to talk my youngest grandson onto the back seat of our tandem bicycle this morning. As mentioned many times, neither grandson can ride a bicycle. The oldest is dead set against it and he will not explain why. I just told the younger one that he could hold it over his brothers head that you rode with me.

He was very nervous at first. We just rode to the top of the small hill on our street and coasted down to the end of the street and turned around. He said it was fun and asked to do it again. So we did. After the second run, I asked if he’d like to ride a bit further and he agreed.

We rode back up the hill a third time and turned right at the top and rode a different street to the end. He said he’d never been this way before. I told him that that was what a bike was for. It lets you see more. We even saw a pair of Sandhill Cranes standing in a yard on the way back to Cheest Manor. While climbing the longest hill on the road, the grandson said, “My balls hurt. Can we go home?” Nice grandpa that I am, I said, “You’re not supposed to sit on them. Okay, we’ll go home.”

When we got back to the house, he ratchet jawed grandma about how much fun he had and how he sat on his balls. Now, time to get him to ride solo.

Well he's nearly 7 these days...

He's absolutely going to be taller than me...so that would be more than 6 foot given I'm the ever popular "just under 6 foot".. although in my case I'm genuinely 5'11 and a half not 5'7 in Cuban heels.

Of course we took a small jaunt to the med today 😉

The tax man decided it was my turn to get a nice little rebait for once for just under £300 😂 so browsing through eBay a few days ago on auction was a complete brand new Bilstein B12 kit for a Seicento which consists of 4x Bilstein B6 dampers along with a set of Eibach 30mm lowering springs, the seller had bought the kit for motorsport use but it never happened so the kit has never been fitted & still in original boxes, when I looked the retail price for this kit seems to be between £700-£900, I ended up winning the whole Bilstein B12 kit with delivery for £337 which is a right result for a brand new Bilstein kit 😁 HMRC do come in handy sometimes 🤣🤣

My 3 year old is already 3.5feet and growing rapidly, (about the height of an average 5-6 year old) my wife is considerably taller than both her parents and I’m 6’3” on a good day so I suspect he will end up taller than me at the rate he’s going.

I'd imagine not growing up in a world of leaded fuel...and in my case with someone who smokes 40 a day indoors probably helps...also food that isn't entirely beige and or breaded.

He's 5cm away from not needing a car seat...(In theory) safer in practice to leave him in it while he fits.. literally a head taller than most of his class then an extra inch or so of curly mane on top.

Crackin' pair of legs Gromit! Mrs J is panicking about her being on that pillar, Very strange folk you choose to hang out with she says. Maybe, says I but it makes life more fun!
Seen better legs on a table eh!
Grand Daughter was quite safe, there were several other family members standing by out of camera if she had looked wobbly.:)
Mrs J saying "strange folk", but look who she chose to marry! ;););)
We some times take photos that look a bit risky, but are carefully managed for safety. When oldest daughters son and daughter were quite young, the youngest daughters and I took them to a park with a mountaineering type climbing frame, posed them high up on the frame as though they had climbed it on their own, then we stood behind the frame holding their hands securely whilst a photo was taken from a distance away at the front so they appeared to be on their own, it wound up the oldest daughter and her partner until we showed them the second photo of us behind the frame safely holding the children's hands.:)

He He, I wouldn't dare post a pic of mine! :ROFLMAO:

Guessed you would have had something like that in place ;)

Absolutely, but it makes life more interesting! I've never been one for the "well groomed" look and my hair in particular is always out of control - not helped by the fact I can't be bothered to get it cut when I should. My kids say I have the "Mad Inventor" look about me - Think Dr Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd - one of my favourite actors, I've loved him ever since I first saw him in an episode of TAXI way back when).

Pah you should just have told them life is about survival of the fittest and that you were just testing LOL
