Officially a bit wrecked having hit the Tourist trail hard today..

Normally I'd avoid it as you can't move 6 inches without being forced off the road by someone living the Van life who doesn't want to get their 20s dirty by going near a verge but it's February and they are mostly safely down south.

So been out all day walked 9 miles as has the lad...

Morning at Craster..

Love the glove box buffet, it's later when cleaning the car and you find all the remains going mouldy under the seats from memory.;)
Ours has packets of chocolate limes for me and jelly babies for Mrs J with some spare packs of Tic Tacs for the kids.

Looks like you've had a lovely day out Steven - thanks for the pictures I do love seeing them. Your lad is very lucky to have a dad like you.

Oh, and we have a big rug spread over the back seat to guard against "contaminants".

It's half term this week and next time he's off school his little brother is due to be here...

Nothing quite puts a crimp in spending 8 hours moseying about the place like a newborn in my experience...so we need to get these things done cos best will in the world I don't think we'll be off doing this stuff again for a little while.

However currently he's been asleep for an hour, I've got a frosty one in my hand and all is well with the world.

I keep meaning to buy a cover for the Toyota back seat..then remembering the entire reason we bought the damn thing was for the kids to er live in it. I say damn thing it behaved itself impeccably and even the satnav was useful today.

I require respect of person or persons travelling in my Panda, and that is supposed to include respect for all the passengers already resident

Some people just have no respect.

Back seat cover (Aldi Special) works well and protects from contaminents here too. Fortunately he has a low moult gene and doesnt shed a lot of hair. Noop had to be five years old before he was allowed in though.

Go on then make yourself at home why dont you. . . . .
Comfortable there mister?

Trying to avoid the gloom and doom happening over here being caused by the Apricot Avenger and his sidekick, the Ketamine Kid.

So, here's oldest grandson, Eli, after his first school musical.

He has quite a booming voice for a 12 year old when he sings, We were surprised because he had a solo that we were not aware of. He was also in the ensemble, but I have to say, in spite of a fine singing voice, he dances like he's wearing snowshoes.

Unlike me when at Primary School the Headmistress after listening to my voice for the Church Christmas Carols made the decision that I would do the collection, sadly my dancing is to a similar standard.;)

Well done! My oldest boy's son is in his early teens and quite talented in this way. He has a very good speaking voice, clear diction and it carries well. He is always in the school plays with a leading part and whereas many of the other kids mumble a bit and lack conviction in their delivery he's always clear and engaging to listen too. He's now going to a Drama club in his own time and is really quite talented playing his guitar - His Dad has been playing guitar since he was in school and had his own band (which was well followed in Scandinavia, particularly Norway where they had a big following) Mrs J and I think he may perhaps be heading towards a life in the entertainment industry. Worries us that that would be a tough way to make a good living though.

Yes. Started off at school and just grew. Called "Sons of Slaughter" Disbanded now but some of them still meet up for a jam session from time to time.

There's some of their stuff on you tube. Here's a sample - doesn't play so well on something like a phone, you need a proper hi fi stereo or headphones to really hear it. The beginning of this has a lot of bass noises going on which get completely lost without decent gear. Not really my thing but I hope you enjoy.

This made me smile today, I have to admit I had never heard of the Fiat Spazio which is the most inappropriate name for a car, especially in the 80s

While looking at this I couldn’t help but think it looked like a little version of a classic Saab 900

Yes…not really my thing either, but they can certainly play
Sorry , not my taste and I thought I liked a fair variety.:)
You'll get no argument from me, it's not my thing either.

He's actually very accomplished on guitar - he plays lead, ie does all the "fancy" bits. However he plays so beautifully when tackling something more up my street. or just sitting on the sofa with one of his many guitars and playing riffs - I could listen to him for hours.
