I’m still persisting with my single chilli plant, Scotch bonnets are not easy to produce fruit, I’ve had two so far until checked this morning, a third small one, quite small actually. Imagine my surprise when looking at the plant this very minute, the fruit has grown at least four fold :eek::eek: Seriously, it’s amazing how much growth from this morning.

A great growing year. This so nearly killed me. Under the lawn is an 1000 litre wheeled bin with some holes in it as a soakaway. Thankfully the wet periods recently prove it works... at least for now. The lawn is now 100% repaired too. I may not be able to eat it, but its also very satisfying. Just a leveling up job to do in the spring after its settled. This is just 6 weeks or so since the repair!

Oddly a light aeroplane just flew over, the first I have seen for many many months. Is this a small sign of returning normality? If so, HOORAY!

I’m not sure exactly where you’re based but I’ve been plodding round the skies of Norfolk and suffolk in a Cessna 152 for the past 3 - 4 months. Generally doing laps between cantley, sizewell and down towards Ipswich and up and out towards eye/diss area. Anything over Norwich is Norwich airport airspace so we don’t tend to venture that way for training flights at the moment.

One of the guys at my club just bought a new plane in Northern Ireland so came down the country and flew into Norfolk via the wash avoiding the military zones around Lincolnshire.

So the little planes never went away but there are a lot more of them in the skies now than a few months back

Local gliding club came back with a vengeance a few months ago.

The towed launch flight path goes over the park up the road I take my son to and he'll frequently end up stopping what he's doing as a glider and tug go over to point and look..one of these days he'll fall over backwards.

My smile today would be my first actual rush hour commute since March 2019. Work on a business park out of town so the majority went home during lock down 1 and have worked from home since. Add to that it's the summer holidays..took all of 14 minutes to get in and out.

I'll be back to full time homeworking once new computer arrives in about a fortnight but actually nice to go for a drive on my own even if it was to the office.

Fitting a new rocker cover gasket to my Coupe at the moment, anyone in the know will realise it’s quite an involved process. Not difficult, but time consuming. 25 ribe bolts to come out, that’s including the ten holding in the five coil packs. I removed the rocker cover yesterday and I’m in the process of cleaning and polishing the aluminium surface. Since it’s off I thought, I’ll clean it up.

Makes me smile as I’ll spend ages looking at other parts that may require attention, then realising half the day has gone….:D

Noises outside.

Two houses up, two guys unloading some bricks from a Transit flatbed. The bricks are on the right side of the bed, so they've driven a little past the delivery point, and are walking around the truck, with 4-6 bricks at a time, back and forth from truck to driveway. A bit labour-intensive.

We're in a cul-de-sac. They'll have to turn around when they leave. So why not go turn around, then park with the right side of the bed towards the delivery point. Then only one or two steps with each handful of bricks.

Being retired, I have all the time in the world albeit the last year and then some have me like a caged animal, things are improving but my son needed shielding so never really strayed far. Working on my Coupe I’ve seen for some time the bonnet lock mechanism is very rusty and to me sticks out like a sore thumb, it’s now siting in a tub of Bilt Hamber rust remover. As I keep saying……the little things :D

Got a text message from a friend, "..I need help, our toilet seat has come off..". Made me laugh out loud.
I told him he has to wear it around his neck, while sitting on the cold porcelain.

Looks like I'm fitting/refitting a toilet seat tomorrow then. 30 miles away, so have to guess what tools to take.

At least while I'm there I can grab the Haynes for his Clio and see what colour wires I need to repair the tailgate loom.

This one's lost me completely.

Aye Jock the net can harbour many characters, some who’s offerings are really only understood by themselves. Social media is awash with individuals who have strange ideas and in some cases very dangerous, but again that’s a different part of the story.

There have been times when I’ve been seeking information on my Ipad for something, I’ve been directed or pointed to some strange sites with rather dark things. It’s a learning curve for me at times, but things get the better of me and I go hunting.

I’m hearing whispers of Wheeler Dealers doing a FiatCoupe restoration, while this may be good news to a degree, it would have been better if SOS had been n the frame. Brewer is just so annoying, still if it does come off, it will be interesting.
