What's made you smile today?

Technically both yesterday, but haven't been home until now, to post.

I've had a temp job for 5 weeks now, and a couple a weeks ago the production manager came asking me a few questions in regards of my future, and sort of hinting at some interest in hiring me. Monday this week we spoke again, and he said that we would have a talk soon about a permanent position, he just had to talk with the temp agency how it should be handled. Which then leads to today. 2 hours before the day was ending he came out in the workshop to tell me that he'd been in touch with the agency and that they were willing to let me go in 2 weeks, and that next week he'd make up a draft for me to go over. So basically things just need to click into place, and I'll finally have a permanent position after finishing my education back in August last year.

Oh yeah, and then I finally went to watch Fast & Furious 7 tonight, at the only drive-in cinema we have. Well worth the long drive, great film and very honourable montage for Paul, at the end of it.

Oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs & leads all changed. Suspension and brakes examined, nothing to do there, lights all working. Fired up, running sweetly, no leaks.
MES connected, service interval reset, no fault codes. All happy.
Happy bunny.

Now I suppose I should give it a wash. (That's for the grumpy thread)

MOT day today

But it passed! :D A few advisories but nothing that cant be easily sorted.

All done for £25 too!

I think its about time that I got a thread up on the forum for it :)

I woke up after dreaming I owned an Audi R8 and had apparently decided to take it a McDonalds' drive through (says a lot about me; food and cars). Woke up really excited about it!

Then realised it was a dream. bit of a let down.

Ever wondered what would happen if you fed a cat Mentos?

Receiving my ultra cheap Little Bear P1 tube headphone/pre-amp from China. No customs duty paid!
Oh, and then I finally received my deal of the century, and something I didn't think I'd own for the next 10 years - a Densen Beat B340 power amp, grabbed on outlet sale for 360£ (RRP 1470£).
