I have a special hatred for re-watching the A-Team in that the basic plot has one massive hole.

Surely after they've been doing this for a few years the bad guys would know if the A-Team turns up they never kill anyone just go about your business like they aren't there..also if you lock them in somewhere don't leave the contents of a garage, 3 different vehicles and some bullet proof 4x2s..

Get called to help some people defeat some minor militia
Get captured,
Build some tank out of a few scraps of wood and a ball of twine.

blow up the enemy but not actually kill them, que shot of people dusting themselves off after an entire building just fell on them.

Congratulate yourself on a job well done, make some cheesy joke to wrap up the episode
Someone needs to refer them to google for live bullet suppliers / munitions. Of course the bad guys need a ticket.

Good afternoon sir. Do you know why Ive stopped you?
No, its because you weren't wearing a seat belt. Now get up and go call a tow truck.

I think the main recap is the trigger warning for all of these shows needs to be "This show will not be as good as you remember it, don't watch it, it is unsuitable for everyone it may contain themes and attitudes that are now frowned upon but in general once you get past the theme tune you'll probably switch it off long before any one gets offended"

I can safely say as, an American, that I have never seen an episode of the A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf, or Macgyver. Must have been the years I worked the night shift and sounds like I didn't miss anything.

Oh how sad. You can't imagine what you missed. But do see Steven's comment above before rectifying this great loss. PS WE only get the cheap end of US TV productions.

the A-Team turns up they never kill anyone
The best "death" I saw had to be the helicopter slamming into the side of a mountain, up in a ball of fire, falls to the ground, then next scene is we see all the people getting out and dusting themselves down Jaws style.

yet Starsky n Hutch, Kojak, the Avengers and yes,
They were more aimed at adults, and like most in the 70's grittier than now.
On the reruns on legend (or whatever), I've found the old series "UFO" interesting from a sci-fi story view. Yes, the gerry anderson effects are comical now, but the stories are not really for kids.

Repeated just recently on freeview, and, before that, Space 1999

In some ways the A-Teams most underappreciated skill was never killing anyone despite using an incredible amount of heavy weaponary.

As an adult it proper annoyed me, so they fired an RPG at that truck and it flew upwards and rolled... regardless of the strange physics how have they survived both the explosion and the roll in a deuce and a half that had it's windscreen penetrated by a high explosive weapon?

It should be pointed out that this deuce and a half was not in the A teams hands so had not been armoured with the contents of the lumber section of B and Q and some tarpaulin.

But don't you "love it when a plan comes together"?
Obviously !!!! And a quote I use often….. without the cigar these days.

These were programs that the Tv companies in the uk would buy in cheap and air on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when kids were watching or more specifically kids with their parents so it had enough explosions to keep young and old alike happy. They however were never “good” programs.

I understand because of when they aired and the limited number of Chanel’s here in the uk and the rest of Europe they were often more popular here than your side of the pond

Even more so in South Africa, we had 3 channels, and on from 6pm until 10pm. And these were split for various languages, one channel was dedicated to English and Afrikaans, English was 6 till 8 one night, then 8 till 10 next night. Most shows were local trash, so knight rider was only tv i watched when there, and most other kids.

I watch the first episode recently and thought kitt is the perfect Tesla car. Oddly Elon Musk went to the same school as me there, Pretoria Boys High, but the year below me. Always wonder if that's what got him into stupidly fast, self driving, indestructible cars.

A very large SUV arrived opposite, then sat, while the front seat passenger applied makeup. Three girls, walking to school, stopped and waited. Out of the car got the front seat passenger, about 12-13 yrs old, and crossed the road to her friends. Then Mum got out, and opened the rear door for younger daughter. Then all six walked away up the road, towards the school.
It is about a half mile walk to the school, through pathways. This town is small, and the opposite end of town is less than a mile away. Seems strange to do the school run, and choose to park so far away.

I bought some reversing sensors the other day from Ebay. Second hand but froma Panda Cross 2017. Unfortunately when they came two of the actual sensors were missing. Querying this with the seller he said it was just the control box that was advertised. Im not so sure, but have been offered a refund, so I sent them / it back. I thought also it was Fiat origina, but it wasnt, so I wouldnt want to connect it to my can bus. Anyway parcel has gone back and refund promised so thats good and credit to the seller. Ebay will pay up if the refund doesnt turn up so Im happy.

Continuing the search I found Glynn Hopkin selling genuine Fiat sensor kits for £69 (RRP £195 and this seems the norm) . Make an offer it said and the low offer suggested was £59. I decided to give it a go. Only 4 sets left at this price. You might even get it cheaper. Im tempted to get two more then all 4 cars will have them. My older daughter spurned them when I delivered the car to her but has decided they are a good idea after a few miles. Im so inflexible these days it seems a sensible move to support my reversing which is done 100 on mirrors. Ive been doing this for at least 25 years now due to my back issues so this may be overdue.

Anyway I feel a guide coming on and will put the instructions on here as a download. It will give me a chanced to inspect the towbar and apply more rust prooferif requied so not entirely a waste of labour.

Father Ted is brilliant, wish it went on for longer but unfortunate what happened to the actor that played Ted, the day after filming the final show I believe?!

Still yet to make the trip 3-4 hours south to get a photo outside the house!
You mean this one? Taken back in 2018

Alerted to a car arriving violently onto next door's gravel drive, I looked out to see my neighbour alighting from her car with two cans of an energy drink.
Tesco is 500m away, the petrol station, about 800m, and ALDI 950m.
Now there's a journey that an EV would work to help the environment.
Not going to spend any time trying to understand why such a trip, and purchase should be necessary, or why such things aren't included in the weekly shop.
Makes me feel much less guilty about any short trips I make.

Last night, same house, had a takeaway delivered around 6:30pm, and another around 10:00pm. The mind boggles.

Makes you wonder what sort of ‘takeaway’ they’re actually getting! Every single sign is there that it might not be the only ‘trips’ they’re doing

A few years ago, I could hear voices on their patio, quite late in the evening. Looking out of the bedroom window, I could see teh woman next door, her teenage daughter, about 14 at the time I think, and another woman and her son, similar age to the girl. They were passing around a joint. Great parenting.

A few years ago some cheap housing was built on a market garden near by, in the Summer the smell of weed floats up to us and my neighbour and I make loud comments suggesting what they do with it!
As a youngster my widowed mum offered two bits of advise I always remembered, one was "get yourself an apprenticeship and you will never be out of work", two weeks since 1969 and that was my choice, so good advice:)
The other was "drugs are for losers" and I have seen nothing to change that guidance :)
On a different note, today being Friday the 13th was probably not the best time to prune my Magnolia at the top of a wobbly ladder with an electric hedge trimmer, feeling it start to go I dropped the hedge trimmer and fell sideways off the ladder roughly 8 foot so not at the top, I remember thinking this is going to hurt, laying on the floor I was soaking wet head to toe, didn't recall pi**ing myself , but at 71 who knows;) Looked around and saw the plastic watering can that had exploded on my impact, but thankfully took most of the fall, checked the hedge trimmer and still working , but I still sat down for ten minutes before continuing up the ladder again, so there is no helping some people.
Tonight went to the fridge and a 4 pint bottle of milk has leaked everywhere, I wasn't after the milk just the bottle of Valpolicelle next to it. Yes I know red is meant to be room temp. but I drink it how I like it, at least it is Italian:)
