The pressures for my car are listed at 33psi front 32psi rear. Looking at the autel scan tool, all of the values are set as that on the ECU. There is a ‘minimum threshold’ and mine are all set between 27-29 for some reason. So it’ll need to be down by a few PSI to trigger the light. I suppose if it was overly precise it’d be annoying. I presume this can be reprogrammed with the Toyota TechStream thing or Carista.Did this actually trigger a TPS light?
Find the "active" system to be generally useless so far.
Due to the wild swings in temperatures of late had all 4 tyres down 2.5psi...it was entirely unconcerned and I only found out measuring with a gauge.
I ignored mine because of previous damage I did removing alloy dust caps. So I presumed it was the worst one which after a month and a half drops down and is near impossible to fill.
Because of that I bought this very niche repair kit that suspiciously seems designed for Toyota’s on all the promotional videos… actually did the rear two wheels on Saturday. Had to double check and use way more loctite and let it sit a bit longer in the cold… but a few days in, job’s a good’un. Saved me £170 per tpms sensor since Toyota doesn’t build it to separate from each stem… £55 all in. Wasn’t as scary drilling into them as I thought it might be. Did the second one on the car and all.
