Love it
Must admit I do leave a comment too sometimes, saying something along the lines I would have watched that but....
my comment are not appropriate here. If there is any option to turn off ai I will always take it. HORSE POO. its good for the garden but not much else

Well guys, I just don't know what to believe and what not to. So I just don't take any of anything as gospel until I prove it for myself. In this case the proof of the pudding was in the eating. Mind you, I've not got the new one yet!
Always go to the website by typing the address in. Check thatthe secure site symbol is in place and then recheck that the address of the site is still as you have typed with no 'extras' in the address line, then you will be connected to the site you want not some scam copy. Gov.uk will give the real picture anything else may be corrupt. Even more vital to check and recheck the web address of any bank is clean before starting business. The secure site symbol of two bat type symbols in front of the Fiat forum is what you want to see. in the address line above. I just dont trust anything on the net these days.

We did have a funny email from Smoture via an odd looking email address recently. Buy another battery vac and they would refund the cost in full if we did them a review. Our last review was five stars. Anyway we needed another vacuum for my daughters house so as instructed we bought one from Amazon, Wonder of wonders we got the money back in full in 48 hours. RESULT, So its not all bad. Mrs PN has had another email from them. Would we like to do the same with anotherproduct? Mmm! OMG its an exercise bike cum running machine thing. Unfortunately the answer to that is if I have to run these days I want to get somewhere and not stay in the same place so NO way jose.

Well, I'm quite impressed. On line application done last Saturday and the renewed driving license dropped through the letterbox flap just after lunch time today. Two envelopes in fact, one being Mrs J's. She did her application about 4 or 5 hours after mine but I suppose the computer wouldn't have thought to save on postage by sticking them both in the one envelope? Doubt if it would have been that quick if an actual flesh and blood person was doing it? Computers, it would seem, do have a use after all!

On a more hilarious tack, I've just discovered a good dozen at least screenshot images of the screensaver image stored in "Pictures" on my new mobile phone. I only know they are screenshots because they are labelled as such. I must have done it? no idea how they got there though, or how to delete them. I think a lot of my problem is the touch screen functions. I've never had to work with a touch screen before and it's all a bit "smoke and mirrors" to me. I feel like a bull in a china shop stumbling about in ignorance. I've decided I'm just going to have to continue "playing" with it in the hope I'll end up understanding how it works. They say you learn from your mistakes - I should soon be a genius then!

My files icon
Click on this. Look in folder downloads and / or screen shots, or photos and you will find them. Select them and bin or delete the ones you dont want.

On my phone pressing two buttons on the side, power and volume down, at the same time takes a screen shot. I use it for saving docs I cant move, and saving them to my laptop where I cian do more with them. You can add a screen shot or any picture to an email to yourself from you. You can open that email on a computer and save the file or picture, or print it from your computer. I can print from my phone but its sometimes not easy so do this. Now Im waiting to be shot down!

Ah! That explains a lot! I thought you pressed those two buttons together to switch the phone off, and it does but obviously only if you press the volume button correctly? - presumably volume up? which would explain it seems to switch itself off only sometimes! Yeah! The other times it must have been doing screenshots! Now to see if I can find them again and erase them!

What does "my files" icon look like?

I've just realised I got through a whole day with nothing making me grumpy , .............which made me ..... errr ....smile

Oh wait .... does that mean I'm in the wrong or right thread  :ROFLMAO:

What does "my files" icon look like?

The cleaner at work (Mid 50's) bought a smart phone earlier in the year (only ever had a basic nokia before) .... and she's constantly asking about this button or that button, or this icon or that icon.... and how to delete messages ..... constantly

I asked her why do you want to keep deleting messages ?? why ?? WHY !?!?
In case someone else reads them if I die

She also keeps (even after months of ownership) asking does this button turn it off ?

Just close the leatherette case cover (it's like a book cover) and it will turn off on its own after a while....

Are you sure? ... how do I know if it's turned off ???

Just shut the cover and ignore it !! it will turn off on its own!! FFS

Then she also asks what the battery number means in the top corner .... why's it saying 98 ?? I only took it off the charger this morning , is 98 bad ? why's it 98 so quickly ?!

She can't even use the keyboard to create a reply , if people text/whatsapp her you won't get a response...

Somehow the other day she came in to work and said all her photo's had gone , could I get them back for her

You've deleted them all somehow , you can't get them back (They weren't even in the recently deleted folder)

That's not fair was her response :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:🤷‍♀️

I've got to say I wasn't aware of this shortcut I've always done it the double swipe down way. Screenshot is power off and volume down power is power off and volume up..so it's picking one.

Easiest way to see screenshots.

Screenshots access your home page by swiping up from the bottom. In the search bar type photos and press the little coloured pin wheel top left.

At the bottom of that there's 3 options, middle one is collections, press that and one of the options is screenshots.

Press and hold any picture in the folder and a little menu appears top right one of the options is a picture of a bin, touch it to delete.

My Grump, Wingrove has exited the car business, selling up to Arnold Clark having been family owned for 99 years and Citroën dealers for about 75 years.

This was the last competent Citroën dealer within 100 miles.

Have you done those screenshots especially for the hard of seeing ...... 🤭

Thanks. I've got it now as to how to switch off. I'd been doing it with the buttons but didn't appreciate it had to be volume up. Volume down taking a screen shot - which explains all the stored desktop home images! I rather like the swipe down twice and hit the wee button bottom right on the screen. - didn't know about that either. If I press the small button the screen goes black but I guess that just puts it into standby - doesn't actually switch it off?

Feeling quite chuffed with myself now as I know what the wee icons top right on the screen mean. So, if I'm at the bottom of the garden, where my favourite seat is, I now know not to go on you tube etc because the internet icon isn't there. It lights up again just two strides nearer to the house and shows nearly full strength by the time I'm approaching the back door. When the icon goes away it's replaced by 5G which I presume means I would then be using Data?

These screenshots, they literally take a picture of whatever is on the screen when you do it? So where do they then go to and how do I see them later on? Into "photos" maybe? Also, if I take a picture with the camera - which I haven't done yet - presumably that will also end up in photos? How would I then use one of those pictures to attach it to a post in the forum?

There's just so much to learn and I'm finding it very difficult. For instance images seem to come and go when you swipe sideways. Where are they going indeed where have they come from? This is going to take me a long time to learn - but I am slowly making some progress.

One thing I have managed to do is invoke the battery management so that it only charges to 80% thus, so they say, being kind to the battery. on this setting it seems to be lasting about 3 days before needing to be charged - probably because I don't use it much?

Please remember, you are looking at these on a pc monitor , at vastly enlarged size probably ;) Viewed in real size, on a mobile phone, you might just need glasses to read them :geek:.
(Just pointing that out!, not criticising, honest!!)
Yes I was via a laptop, and they were huge  (a tiny puff of smoke emerged from my graphics card)
and on a phone they are more moderately sized

Some might say yes...others might say their size is due to relative resolution. As a phone screen in wqhd+ has many pixels vertically more than an average wide screen monitor.

A wag might say..

Re. @Pugglt Auld Jock questions top 2 paragraphs yes correct in both assumptions.

Pictures when you swipe left and right are viewable within photos as per previous instructions there will be a massive grid of all pictures on your device swiping left and right cycles through it. If you're on the phone on the forum you get an option to attach photos bottom left..which allows to put anything on that is on the phone. Otherwise you'll need to send them to yourself on the pc or log into Google photos on the pc to get them there before uploading.

Battery management don't complain about 3 days...people with iPhones would sacrifice animals for that 🤣

Put the bath in daughters house yesterday. Felt uneasy. On hecking it seemed tobe leaking. So I isolated it. Today, no fewer tgan 3 leaking joibts so outit came. Now back with 4 fewer joints and 900mm flexitails on the taps. Buying a newadjustable wrenchmade a LOT of difference, slim jaws and a short handle. So its now in and working and end panel studwork is next. Shower pipes are roughly in place then floor tiling can be done. NOTE CHEAP BATH TUBS ARE A WASTE OF MONEY!!. i need to add extra fibreglass to stop both bending and places where its so thin you can see through it!!! That a real pita. Additionally I had too grind the underside so the cross suppirts sat flat(ish) andmove thesuports as the tub was unstable. All I beed is an extra day to deal with the bath panel tats 5mm too long because the tub is rubbish. I have said if she buys a cheap kitchen Im not fitting it! Its not a saving at all.
