Makes any car insurance look incredibly cheap.

Oh indeed. Does make me laugh when some moan about the cost of it, but don't stop to think just how much protection it gives.

I know of several cases where people are paying back £50/£100 a month for 20-30 years due to having an accident and not being insured and having to personally cover the costs. Suddenly makes insurance seem quite good value for money!

One that sticks in the memory even though I've never worked for Fortis.

I remember that morning well. We have a small telly that comes on like an alarm clock, so irritating it gets us up and out.
That morning I awoke to the picture from the motorway of the tracks in the grass left by the Land Rover. To me it was obvious that he'd fallen asleep. The grass sloped to the side, away from the motorway. With a Renault 21 Savannah estate on the trailer (sad I can remember that detail), the trailer would tend to slip sideways, unless the towing vehicle keeps pulling strongly. The tracks were clean and straight, showing that the Land Rover kept pulling all the way to the brow to drop to the railway line. Unless he was trying to commit suicide, he was asleep, as anyone awake would be braking, causing the trailer to try to jackknife. Fell asleep. Took the inquiry 18 months to come to the same conclusion.

Ordered a pair of wheel locating studs off Ebay.
Received only one, and an invoice for two.
So I asked if they were struggling to count to two. At which I got a stroppy reply saying it was Fiat's fault as some were incorrect in the pack and that the second was to follow.

Too difficult to advise that on the original invoice? Am I supposed to guess?
Is it just me, or would others assume they'd missed one and no more would follow.

£6 for a new wheel trim, £6 for an oil filter... £15.90 for shipping. Always like Shop4Parts but not sure I'll be ordering from them again as the N.I. postage is way too much
If you need anymore bits give me a shout... shop4parts is actually run by GGB Italian auto specialists in my home town (Bradford) if u need anything then i could arrange it and give u better postage prices :)

Bloody daddy long legs trapped inside my light... Not sure how to go about getting it out. It's the side that was leaking unless I left the back panel off, so that's how it got in.

If it still alive, remove the headlamp bulb, leave it out and see if the little blighter finds its way out.
Do they follow light like moths? If so, may need bonnet leaving open when dark, to coax it out towards the light outside. Cover the outside of the lamp so only light is from bulb hole.

Can you get the vac cleaner near the bulb hole?

Gave it a good knock. Think it's dead.

Must try the hoover method, good idea

German propaganda City cars tested: Fiat Panda v Skoda Citigo - Evening Standard

Would you trust a review with errors like those below ?
It's only a short review, and clearly very little research and care has been invested in coming to the pre-determined conclusion that any VW is better than any Fiat.

"The TwinAir engine is noisy too, because you have to keep the revs up"
- No, the low torque means you can keep the revs right down.

"The Panda is hard to find with this TwinAir engine, so you may have to go for the less economical 1.2-litre."
- Dig a little deeper than the official figures and you'll find that the 1.2 litre is much more economical (if not as much fun).
- Maybe there's a reason why the TwinAir is hard to find ... because owners don't want to get rid of them at 5 years old.

Panda TwinAir "CO2 emissions 0g/km"
- if only, then there'd be no need for electric cars !

What a load of rubbish - the sad thing is, many people will buy a car on a review alone and won't do their own research or even test drive the competition. Imagine spending that amount of money and not researching the car properly? Crazy!

Because these days any numpty with a laptop can write a blog and call them self a journalist.

True that, but I'm finding even the big names and broadcasting companies who you'd think are a bit more trustworthy are also churning out the crap at The Sun like levels now.

It must be out of desperation to compete with the BS bloggers?!

It's more that they are employing people who have made a name from the online world, today's currency in the media is 'influence' the more influence you carry, through YouTube subscribers, Instagram followers or online blog readers, the more valuable and thus more employable you are to any media outlet, even if you do struggle to string any sort of coherent sentence together.

Sad but true

Why do people take racing lines or drive on the wrong side of the road? :bang:

As I turned into a blind bend earlier I was greeted by this JEEP on the wrong side of the road.

I had to hit the grass to avoid a head on collision.

He missed me by about six inches.

The JEEP failed to stop and when I caught up with him later the driver refused to give his details. Just as well I was going slowly enough for there to be no suspension damage.

Take it to the police, you've got the evidence that he was driving without care. And I'm sure he can be prosecuted for refusing to give details too. Hope you get it sorted.
