I want to go to Russia or Canada and see how they handle the snow, the Uk seems to come to an almighty standstill the moment we get a sprinkling of the stuff.


My grump- being disciplined at wetherspoons for being off sick 9 times in a year... and for my dog dying. Wtf. Baring in mind im part time and there is plenty of staff, my absence has hardly caused an issue. I will fight this decision!

Ah, that's reminiscent of RM... they have to have such rules in place to stop some people taking the p**s, but it ends up catching genuine cases as well

same in any job really
I worked in a place that had an incentive scheme
much better to have a carrot than a rod


originally we got 1 weeks pay for a christmas bonus,for every years service
there were people with 30+ years
however you lost 5% for every sick day
so 20 days off and no bonus
eventually they capped it at 4 weeks
but then changed it to add a weeks pay in march,and a week in the summer
so 6 weeks pay a year extra for no sick days

Have to apply again for the regulars. Some Forces (Met I think) are trailing Specials skipping some training or something.

Applying for a force up in Scotland, no English forces are recruiting at the moment .

EDIT: Keyboard is working, but two screws which allow the back plate to be removed just spin. :doh:

Starting a cold, and just paid £130 for a year's tax for my 1.1 Cinq when my Mum's 1.2 Panda is £30.

Landlord called me back less than 3 hours after I handed the keys in:bang:
She doesn't think I can just leave now... because the other person who is meant to be taking my place will not accept the terms and conditions in the contract

In fairness to this person i wasn't happy with them to begin with and had to get them changed before i signed. Hopefully this person will also but it's looks highly unlikely. so i'm told i will have to pay next months rent as well.

I'm not going to pay if i'm not living there, my contract says this also. We have 6 days to make an agreement or things will get complicated..

I wish it only took some glue to fix my problems... Feel as if my whole world has just been pulled out from under me and I have no control over it... All I want is to make things better, like how they used to be. Is that so wrong...?
