What's made you grumpy today?

the fact that it is apparently perfectly acceptable for unmarked and marked police cars to drive like *****.

30 limit and doing at least 90 past a primary school.

very impressive

And how do you know they where doing 90? Did you have a speed camera around at the time?

Much rather have a police officer speed than some idiot who thinks they are a driving god.

You have to pay that much just for insurance??? :ROFLMAO: you lot are getting ripped off

care to guess what the cars worth as well?

was a guess. but any idiot can tell at minimum they must be doing 60 because of the rate at which they overtake other traffic.

carl you really do get raped for insurance!!! it pays to be on your own policy straight away after passing and earning your own NCB etc (y)

my grump... banged my knee on a post outside

I just realised my insurance is due for renewal 10th Oct - to renew with my current insurers will be about £1300.... :(

Time to start ringing round......

yup. didnt have time to faff about putting the registration and car in my name though. which is what is getting sorted now.

Rolf your doing this just to get attention let's face it.

erm no. is a genuine grump.

when the car is worth £4k-5k and the best quote i can get is £2059 as standard or £3320 with everything declared thats a pretty justified grump imo.

i know that like. but just surprises me how much difference certain mods make. and that aint even everything cause it will only let me pick 6.

filters non standard, suspension lowered <5cm, tints, decorative exterior changes (or something like that) and non standard alloy wheels.

What decorative exterior changes?
What does this include???

thats all things like non standard badges, vinyls etc.

tbh i wouldnt have bothered with it but tried it anyhow.

@kier speeding is speeding doesnt matter if your doing 31 or a 100 the only thing that changes is the risk towards yourself and that of those around you.

and my street has 5 long blind bends on it so even more reason not to drive like that.

31 could be a dodgy speedo ;)

Big difference between 60mph by a police car in a built up area than 90 in a built up area.

Take the f***ing mods off then. I think you knew what would happen but you like everyone else decided to do it anyway instead of waiting a couple of years.

Any modifications at your age no matter what they are put you in the same pigeon hole as all them young toss pots in corsas,saxo's,106's etc etc that crash their cars on a monthly basis.

and £2k standard isnt a rip off?

are you mad?

Nope. Not while theres hundereds of tossers your age (not saying your one) driving round and crashing all the time simply because they think their cool or showing off and their skill is far less than what their cars can do.

I must sound like an old man but Im only 23 . I was there a couple of years ago and I even thought the same then. If its too expensive don't drive get a better job or get a limited mileage policy simple.....

I paid £1400 on my first policy at 17 on a 1.2 8v limited to 5000miles per annum. Its very much like the housing market if your willing to pay it then people will charge it.
