Nope. Not while theres hundereds of tossers your age (not saying your one) driving round and crashing all the time simply because they think their cool or showing off and their skill is far less than what their cars can do.

I must sound like an old man but Im only 23 . I was there a couple of years ago and I even thought the same then. If its too expensive don't drive get a better job or get a limited mileage policy simple.....

I paid £1400 on my first policy at 17 on a 1.2 8v limited to 5000miles per annum. Its very much like the housing market if your willing to pay it then people will charge it.

my mileage is limited lol to 4k a year. current policy cost £2250ish (dont know exact i dont have the paperwork) with all currnet mods fitted declared (granted aint many) at no additional cost.

Have you even tried ringing them up and hangling a discount?. My first best quote at 17 was £1950 I negotiated them down to what I paid.

First quote on coupe was £1050ish hagled them down to £750ish!.

Fecking laptop battery didn't last an hour from fully charged..now I have Catia, and no license to use it until tomorrow

Expect battery life of ~20mins tops then! I found my old laptop just couldnt handle Solidworks when off the mains for more than 10 mins. The battery life suffered a painful death.

tbf ive seen plenty of examples why people my age get raped for insurance including one guy i know who has totaled 7 cars in 2 years
