What's made you grumpy today?

Horrid things commodes. Need emptying after each use really, which means help needed frequently. Or it can make the room smell horrid.

Daughter is just going home to make tea for her family so I popped out to see if all was OK. Turns out it's not a commode but an adjustable height toilet seat on it's own frame. The thinking is that it'll make it easier for her to get up. The worry now is that she might fall on her way to the bathroom. All sounds a bit unsatisfactory to me. I've told her to get "mum" to keep her mobile on her at all times and ring me if there's a problem. I don't have a key but I could alert both daughter and emergency services if needed. Sitting with fingers and toes crossed!

As I now have a Fabia, as a 'work' car, I registered on a Skoda forum.
First post, got a rude reply.
All other replies have been helpful.

Can't see it being as useful as the Fiat Forum - well done everybody here.
I've been tempted to register on The Cupra forum due to "Twink" - '16 ibiza. Just doesn't have the same "family" feel? I should maybe try it though and see what bites back?

So the wife's phone had reached end of contract....soon to drop down to usage cost only...

Of course she dropped it face down today...Boom and it's done.

16 quid to get another phone, or 84 to fix it. New phone it is.

Idiot in a Kia Rio who deliberately blocked lane 2 in a queue for road works because he doesn't understand the Highway Code entry covering 'merge in turn'.

(Up until this point, there were 2 streams of traffic, both travelling at largely the same speed - he deliberately pulled out and blocked lane 2 with around a mile to go to the merge point)

THIS. On my way home there is a merge in turn onto the A50. Tonight some tit in a Merc decided to try and block me even though I was ahead of him. I don't even try and be pushy. If I'm ahead of someone I stay ahead if I'm behind then I keep my distance to merge nicely.:mad::mad:

A hospital appointment in Oxford this morning at 10:45.
Journey time expected around 30-40 minutes, so left home at 09:45.
Came off ring road abouot 1½ miles from hospital at 10:17, parked at the hospital at 11:37.
That's 1½ miles in 80 minutes.
Cause- hospital car parks inadequate capacity.
Disabled spaces are in same paying car park as normal spaces. Counter allows cars in, but can't know which are disabled or not, so several disabled spaces available, and several cars circling looking for spaces. I'm needing a disabled space to get my partner out into the chair, can see spaces, but can't get in.
Appointment letter suggests using the park & ride. Not easy with a wheelchair.
Next time we'll set off very early and camp out in the cafe.
