i burned out my 20 amp variac

its rated for 20 amps, i was drawing 14.3 amps and it flashed the windings over.
its going to take me ages to take all the old windings off and wind some new wire on it.

not happy.

guess i should of used a ballast lol

Everything has gone to pot.

Spray paint barely did 2 coats on the alloy normally I get 4 coats.
Because the spray ran out 1/4 way though the 3rd coat i had to rub it back AGAIN to avoid it bubbling over - nearly upto week 4 now

weather turning again so i'll have to stop for a while longer, deadline is 22nd Sept... two to go.:bang:

House mates now want to do a joint insurance jobby on the house, i asked them 2 weeks ago and they didn't want to, so i've had this insurance for 1 and half weeks now so abit annoyed that they have rung the insurers to try to amend MY policy BEFORE talking to me about any of it.

So trying to paint the alloys i get 8 phone calls - not happy.

Insurers now want to cancel my policy to amend so they can save £4.60... Personally i dont think it's worth all the hassle and my time to try to sort this out. so ill see how i am in the morning.
