I think LCD is the better one, but mine says LCD TFT on it??

maybe i am talking **** then?lol...

LCD is TFT lol
TFT s a family name which covers other types of monitor like STN.
Edit: I meant LCD is the family name lol

TFT is an LCD technology. Older LCDs were TN or STN, slow refresh rates and you get ghosting. Some really cheap LCDs are still STN and should be avoided at all cost.

Time for bed :)

TFT (Thin Film Transistor) is a type of LCD display.

Have a look at Shuttle's XP range, Xerox's XL or XA range and AG Neovo with their X or E range - all have a protective glass panel to protect the LCD beneath and provide better contrast.

i am after a 14/15 incher ;) doesnt have to be protected by glass or what ever as it will be under a perspex floor...

Don't think magnets will affect TFT's , cheap place to get them new at the moment is :-

www.aria.co.uk

another place.

But my dreams they aren't as empty, As my conscience seems to be...

Try www.ebuyer.com

TFT monitors are so cheap now £110 for a 15" well known make like Samsung. For an extra £30 you can go for a 17" ;)

really i want a second hand 15" which someone is selling for a 17" or something like that as i want it as cheap as poss and i think 15" is more then big enough for a car! ;)

Are you sure the subs won't affect the screen?
When I got my Logitech speakers for my comp they said the sub cannot be placed next to any electrical equipment including monitors because the sub wasn't magnetically shielded, whereas the satellite speakers were shielded and so could be placed anywhere.
Are car subs shielded? Or were the instructons over protective? Might be worth checking that. Saying that there are hundreds of boot builds with screens so....

Should'nt affect TFT/LCD's as theres no gun to be affected by the magnets in the speakers .

the subs are not shielded.

TFT is a type of LCD technology, where every pixel is connected to a transistor.

Not sure of the long term effects (if there is any), but i have an unshielded working car sub, on my desk next to my 19" TFT/LCD and have done for 2-3 months with no problems.

Don't you just hate copycats ;)
