looking at buying some wheels this weekend hopefully as have been putting it off for too long now really

what do i need to look for to make sure they'll fit?

i've seen some 17" BSA Deep dish ones... says they came off a 220 tomcat??

which i have no idea of what that is!

they are 4x100 which doesn't bother me as have got a set of wobbly bolts.. but what else should i be looking at?

cheers
Adam

It sounds rather more exciting than it is - 'Tomcat' was just the code name Rover used for their 200-series 2-door coupe of the 90's, now used by coupe owners desperate to show that their Rover 200 is'nt a bogo-standard hatchback version, lol.
'220' just refers to a 2-litre version.

Apart from the PCD, next most important thing to check is the offset of any new wheels to ensure that they are in range. The 'deep dish'
discription could imply the offset is OTT - if so it would put extra strain on the wheel bearings, foul the wheelarches and/or make the cars handling a disaster, so it's important to check first.
