Joe: Yeah made new ones out of 6mm MDF. Basically used old panels as a template, cutout the hole for the 6x9 and then covered it in acoustic carpet.
Gaz: If your on about the 'spikes' behind the panels they are the seatbelt pretensioners, when the airbag goes off they rake up all the slack in the seatbelt and basically pull you into the seat.
