Styling what mods should i do to my car?

Car's going into college tomorrow to have new springs fitted :p only abarth springs, hopefully not permanent, really would like some sportlines but I picked them up from a guy on here for £38 including postage! Done some maths and calculations and have estimated a lowering of about 35mm, which will almost cut the arch gap in half! Will get some photos tomorrow (y)

Finally :p - I had my 1.4 on abarth springs, sat a lot better and was tighter round corners without really losing any comfort, enjoy! (y)

I know! :p Been bugging them for ages to get me some time to bring it and do it. Managed to do both rears in about 45 minutes (25 minutes of that not realising a nut was welded on so had to undo the bolt haha). Fronts took just as little time too :) haven't driven in it yet so won't be as settled yet but it's already looking better. I'll get some photos tonight maybe once it's sat down a bit (the springs aren't brand new anyway, a month old so been driven on enough to break them in)
I will (y) looking forward to less body roll!

I had two Alpine subs in the boot when I dropped mine, weighty things. Don't think my car would be as low as it is now if I hadn't, shame the front didn't drop enough tho....

Yeah subs will definitely help lowering it. I'm gonna be sorting out subs and stuff soon, once I stick them in the boot that'll help it a little. But yes, as you said, the front won't drop as much and there's not really anyway to help it.

Mate got a cool photo today :D

Also done some lame quick editing :p haha

I had a bit of weight in the boot when i had mine lowered, unintentional....but since removing it the other day my springs are creaking on all 4 corners a little whilst driving. I'm not having much luck with springs atm, but hey ho.

Don't like the photoshopped wheels :yuck: Maybe it it was dropped on its bum entirely it would suit, but they are a bit much IMO.

Not checked back here in a while looks like things are coming along nicely! That snap your mate got is epic! Not to keen on the bbs but think that's cus it's not the best edit in the world ;)
Also if your looking at a quick way to bed in your suspension... (tjetoates told me..sounded stupid but worked) I did it with my coilovers just to get a bit of ware on the springs... Literally get you and a friend to stand on both doorsills And rock the car like crazy! It really does work trust me!

Also if your not to worried about performance for a few days. Put a concrete slab in the boot for a bit and sand in the footwells over night. EVERY LITTLE HELPS ;)

Mine have been in for about 18 months now no problem, no squeaks or knocking. whenever I had the subs in the boot tho, I could literally watch the fuel gauge drop....,

Didn't even notice that was a Photoshop haha. (using phone) Agreed tho, need to proper slam the car to suit those....

Thanks :) quality photo isn't it. Nah I know, think it would look okay in real life if it was slammed to the floor though ;)
Ahh thanks! I'll try that! I've put the steelies in the boot and in the footwells, gonna do that every night ;) couldn't find a spare concrete slab. Thanks for the advice mate

Also a picture of my car since it's had the springs changed. Back is about 20mm or so lower but front is no different. Disappointed. The front was the worst anyway. Next time I get time I might try compress them a bit more.

My remote runs off the cigarette live, powers on with ignition then

Located beneath the centre console, red wire that goes into the cigarette socket, ran it up the centre console and round to the back with the rest of the wires

Ah yes that's a good idea, thank you! Wouldn't of thought of that!
Also, was trying Admiral multicar insurance for all 4 cars in the household. Brothers car came to 1300, he has 1 years no claim, dads 350, mums 400, mine 4000! Tried my brother on my car and it went down thousands. How can 1 years no claim make such a difference?!
